    Abstract: A color electrophoretic display apparatus and a display driving method thereof are provided. The color electrophoretic display apparatus includes a display panel and a display driver. The display driver is electrically connected to the display panel and configured to drive the display panel to display one of a plurality of colors by using a plurality of driving signals having different waveforms. The driving signals include a first driving signal and a second driving signal. The display driver selects the first driving signal or the second driving signal according to image data, and drives at least one pixel of the display panel by using the first driving signal or the second driving signal, such that the at least one pixel displays one of black color and a plurality of gray colors with different gray values in the plurality of colors.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a driving apparatus, the driving apparatus is used for outputting a driving signal to drive an electro-phoretic display, and the driving apparatus includes a driving signal generator, a temperature sensor, and a selector. The driving signal generator generates a plurality of periodic alternative current signals and a plurality of direct current signals. The temperature sensor generates a temperature parameter by sensing an environment temperature. The selector is coupled to the driving signal generator and the temperature sensor. The selector selects one of the periodic alternative current signals or one of the direct current signals as the driving signal according to the temperature parameter. The driving signal is a common voltage for the electro-phoretic display, and when one of the periodic alternative current signals is selected as the driving signal, an amplitude of the driving signal is varied with the environment temperature.

The electronic label units are coupled to the control unit. The electronic label units respectively output a plurality of state information to the control unit, so that the control unit monitors operation states of the electronic label units according to the state information. The state information is transmitted to the control unit when a state of the electronic label units is varied. The control unit transmits the wireless power to the electronic label units by using wireless communications, and the electronic label units are charged with the wireless power. Furthermore, a wired communication interface is used as the communication interface between the net unit and the electronic label units in the electronic label system, so that the cost of the electronic label system is reduced.

    Abstract: A driving method of an electrophoretic display having at least one display particle is provided. The driving method includes the following steps. A first voltage difference is applied to a data line in a first period, in which the data line corresponds to one of the display particles. At least one particle restore period is inserted in the first period, and a second voltage difference is applied to the data line in the particle restore periods, in which the second voltage difference is different from the first voltage difference. With this method disclosed here, the maxima brightness, maxima darkness, contrast ratio, color saturation, bistability, and image updating time can be largely improved.
