    Abstract: A method for updating display image of an electrophoretic display panel and an electrophoretic display apparatus using the same are provided. In the aforementioned method, the gate lines of the electrophoretic display panel are divided into a first group and a second group. The display data related to pixels coupled to the gate lines of the fist group need not to be updated. Furthermore, the display data related to at least one of the pixels coupled to the gate lines of the second group need to be updated. The first type gate pulses are provided to the gate lines of the first group respectively, and second type gate pulses are provided to the gate lines of the second group respectively. The second type gate pulse has a predetermined pulse width. The pulse width of the first type gate pulse is shorter than the predetermined pulse width.

    Abstract: A pixel array structure, a flat display panel and a method for driving a flat display panel thereof are provided. The structure of the pixel array structure and the flat display panel is the structure of the half source driving (HSD). Therefore, by skillfully arranging the coupled relationship between each pixel and each data line, the pixel array structure of the pixel array structure provided in the present invention can be driven by the gate driver directly disposed on the substrate of the pixel array. Accordingly, not only the fabrication cost of the flat display panel can be reduced, but the manner of the timing controller controlling the gate driver and source driver can also be reduced.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a source driver, a gate driver, a plurality of pixel units, a plurality of detecting circuits, and a decision unit. Each pixel unit includes a switch transistor and a liquid crystal capacitor. When turned on by a scan signal generated by the gate driver, the switch transistor conducts a data signal voltage generated by the source driver to the liquid crystal capacitor, to adjust alignment of liquid crystal molecules. Each detecting circuit is electrically connected to one pixel unit, and includes a first transistor, a second transistor, a third transistor and a sensor unit. The first transistor conducts a constant voltage to the sensor unit when turned on, and generates a dynamic voltage when turned off. Based on the dynamic voltage, the second transistor generates a dynamic current. The third transistor conducts the dynamic current to the decision unit when turned on.
