  • Publication number: 20090170402
Abstract: An apparatus for grinding a threaded portion of a workpiece, is provided. The threaded portion has a spiral groove formed therein. The apparatus includes a motor, a grinding cord, a detector and a controller. The motor has a rotary portion for rotating the threaded portion of the workpiece about an axis. The grinding cord is configured for being looped around the threaded portion of the workpiece with a middle part thereof engagingly received in a given portion of turns of the spiral groove for grinding the thread portion of the workpiece. The detector is for detecting a rotating cycle of the rotary portion. The controller is communicatively coupled to the detector for controlling the rotary portion to selectively rotate in a first rotating direction or in a reverse second rotating direction based on the received signal from the detector.

  • Publication number: 20080062514
Abstract: A digital telescopic sight includes an objective lens group (202), a light collecting lens (204), an erecting lens group (206), an eyepiece lens group (212), a semi-reflecting mirror (208) and an image sensor (210). The incident exterior light rays are sequentially transmitted through the objective lens group, the light collecting lens and the erecting lens group, and then incident onto the semi-reflecting mirror. The semi-reflecting mirror reflects a portion of the light rays onto the image sensor, and transmits the remaining primary light rays to the eyepiece lens group for enabling the user to view the image. The image sensor receives the reflected portion of the light rays, converts it into an electrical signal, and finally transmits the electrical signal to a digital signal processor for further image signal processing.

  • Patent number: 7222432
Abstract: A method of assembling a reticle module comprising a first element and a second element is provided. The method includes the following steps. First, a collimated beam of light shines on a first reticle of the first member and a second reticle of the second member to project an image of the first reticle and an image of the second reticle onto a screen. Thereafter, the projected image of the first reticle of the first element and the projected image of the second reticle of the second element are adjusted to align with each other. Then, the relative position between first and the second element is fixed. The method speeds up the process of assembling a reticle module and ensures both constituent reticles aligned in the same viewing direction.

  • Patent number: 7183376
Abstract: The invention provides polynucleotides and polypeptides encoded therefrom having advantageous properties, including an ability of the polypeptides to preferentially bind a CD28 or CTLA-4 receptor at a level greater or less than the ability of human B7-1 to bind CD28 or CTLA-4, or to induce or inhibit altered level of T cell proliferation response greater compared to that generated by human B7-1. The polypeptides and polynucleotides of the invention are useful in therapeutic and prophylactic treatment methods, gene therapy applications, and vaccines.

  • Publication number: 20060038971
Abstract: A dual reticle device comprising a ring structure, a first reticle and a second reticle is provided. Four positioning grooves parallel to the axis of the ring structure are formed on the external side surface of the ring. The first reticle and the second reticle are disposed on a first ring end-surface and a second ring end-surface of the ring structure respectively. In the process of assembling the dual reticle device, the positioning grooves position the first and the second reticle on the first and second ring end-surface of the ring structure. Therefore, the first reticle and the second reticle coincide with each other in the axial direction of the ring structure so that the dual reticle device can serve as a tool for improving the accuracy of aiming at a target object set at a distance.
