    Abstract: Some present implementations provide a method for a user equipment (UE) connected to a non-terrestrial network (NTN). The method may receive, from a base station (BS) of the NTN at a downlink (DL) slot n, a timing advance (TA) command. The method may also adjust a timing of uplink (UL) transmissions to the BS according to the received TA command. The method may also include applying the adjusted timing for the UL transmissions by performing the UL transmissions from a beginning of a UL slot n+k+1+Koffset. Koffset may be a common delay broadcast by the BS to a plurality of UEs connected to the NTN including the UE, and k may be an additional delay specific to the UE.

The CORSET is partitioned in FDM or TDM way. In another novel aspect, a first and a second PDCCH associated with a first and a second TRP are configured for repetition transmission. In one novel aspect, the radio link failure is detected upon detection of one or more radio link failure conditions on the serving beam. In one embodiment, the physical layer problem is considered as detected when one or more predefined events occur for a number of consecutive times on the serving beam. In another embodiment, the UE further considers potential recoveries to avoid frequent triggering of the radio link failure condition. In one embodiment, the UE performs the initial alignment procedure to recover the connection. In one embodiment, UE performs the initial alignment procedure without performing radio link recovery on the serving beam. In other embodiments, the UE performs the initial alignment procedure after performing radio link recovery on the serving beam and/or selects one or more beams for initial beam alignment.
