  • Patent number: 6997748
Abstract: The present invention provides a shielded shell for an electronic connector. The shielded shell comprises an exterior shielded body and an interior shielded body which is received in the exterior shielded body and receives an insulating body with terminals. There is a plurality of elastic slices formed on the interior shielded body, and a plurality of holes provided in the exterior shielded body to receive the free ends of the elastic slices of the interior shielded body. An engaging hole is formed at each board extending from each lateral side of the exterior shielded body. A plurality of tabs is formed on a back panel of the exterior shielded body; a block is projected from the tab to engage with the engaging hole. Therefore, the two-layered shielded shell provides a reinforced force in order to engage with a connector firmly.

  • Patent number: 6971918
Abstract: A card connector comprises an insulation member, a back row of spaced first contact terminals, a front row of spaced first contact terminals, a row of spaced second contact terminals and a shielding cover. The insulation member has a first receiving space for receiving a first electronic card and a second receiving space for receiving a second electronic card. Contacting portions of the back row and the front row of the first contact terminals extend into the first receiving space and are aligned and flush with each other. Contacting portions of the second contact terminals extend into the second receiving space. Soldering portions of the first and the second contact terminals all extend outwardly from the rear of the card connector. Therefore, the first and the second contact terminals can be easily soldered on a printed circuit board and entirely contact with contact pads of the electronic cards.

  • Publication number: 20050159037
Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic card connector which includes a base, a cover, a sliding mechanism, a holding mechanism and a pivotal member. The base received a number of contacts joins pivotally with the cover received an electronic card, and the contacts engage the electronic card for dates processing therebetween. The sliding mechanism forms where the base and the cover engage pivotally whereby the cover rotates with regard to the base from an opening status to a preliminary closing status. The holding mechanism is defined in the base and the cover whereby when the cover is horizontally rearward pushed from a preliminary closing status to a final closing status, an interlock therebetween is achieved. The pivotal member passes through the base and the cover to provide a reliable pivotal interconnection therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6896555
Abstract: A memory card connector has a sliding member and a sliding pin for coupling the insertion and rejection of the memory card. The sliding member can be stayed at the position of insertion or rejection of the memory card. A retaining sheet is formed on the side of the sliding member. The end of the retaining sheet is stamped into a dimple. A retaining portion is formed on the housing of the memory card connector corresponding to the position of the dimple. The dimple can be pushed into the retaining portion when the memory card is rejected to the rejection position. The dimple can be protruded into a notch formed on the memory card by the resilience force of the retaining sheet while the notch reaches the position corresponding to the dimple. Because of the dimple leaving the position corresponding to the retaining portion of the housing; the dimple can be retained in the notch when the memory card is pushed toward the insertion position.

  • Publication number: 20050085114
Abstract: An ejection mechanism of card connector includes a guiding wall, a cam member, a slider, a spring and a supporting shaft. The guiding wall, the cam member and the slider engage each other. The spring acts resilience on the guiding wall. So the ejection mechanism of card connector can provides a back and forth movement in the process of loading and unloading the card. Further, the slider forms a pressed member, and the spring is located compactly between the pressed member and the guiding wall. The supporting shaft passes through the spring, one end engages one of the pressed member and the guiding wall, the other end moves back and forth relatively to the other of the pressed member and the guiding wall. In this way, the spring can be supported and positioned.

  • Patent number: 6790061
Abstract: The present invention provides a two-stage ejection mechanism of card connector which includes a frame, a slider, a slider pin and a spring. The frame forms a cam member. One end of the slider pin engages moveably with the cam member, the other end engages pivotally with the slider, and the spring can act resilience on the slider. In this way, the two-stage ejection mechanism of card connector is provided with a back and forth movement in the course of loading and unloading the card. Moreover, the slider forms directly a spring pin thereon for contacting and pressing elastically the slider pin, which prevents the spring pin and the slider pin from missing engagement. Thereby the two-stage ejection mechanism can simplify the structure and decrease the making and assembling cost for the card connector by means of the improved structure of the spring pin.
