Abstract: A digital media controller is provided. The digital media controller includes a video input interface configured for connecting to a host computer; a video output interface configured for connecting a display; a storage card interface configured for receiving a storage card which is used to store media files; a media processing unit configured for decoding the media files to video signals and audio signals; a switch unit connected between the video input interface and the video output interface, and the media processing unit, and controlled by the processor; the processor being configured to control the switch unit to connect a signal channel between the video input interface and the video output interface, and between the media processing unit and the video output interface according to a predetermined control rule.

Abstract: A shake responsive handheld device is provided. The handheld device comprises a motion sensing unit, a storage unit, a motion determining unit, and a processing unit. The motion sensing unit is used for detecting a shaking motion imparted to the handheld device by a user. The storage unit stores a table defining a plurality of gaming results and shaking characteristics, each of which corresponds to one gaming result. The motion state determining unit determines the shaking characteristic of the shaking motion according to signals from the motion sensing unit. The processing unit outputs one of the plurality of gaming results according to the shaking characteristic determined by the motion state determining unit.

Abstract: An image adjustment method includes providing an input unit configured for receiving inputs, obtaining a desired image and sending the desired image to the display unit, adjusting the desired image on the display unit according to the inputs, obtaining an adjusted desired part of the desired image, reducing a resolution of the adjusted desired part of the desired image according to a resolution of the display unit, and copying the reduced desired part of the desired image to a desired location. An electronic device with an image adjustment function is also provided.

Abstract: A method used in a digital photo frame (DPF) with television (TV) tuning function is provided. The method includes: receiving search parameters input by users during a DPF mode of the DPF; searching in a pre-stored TV program schedule to find TV programs matched the search parameters; determining whether any of the TV programs matched the search parameters is on or about to start at the current time; displaying a program list showing information at least on the “currently on” or “about to start” TV programs among the matched TV programs; switching the DPF from the DPF mode to a TV mode if a “currently on” or “about to start” TV program is selected to play; and receiving and playing the selected TV program. A related DPF is provided.

Abstract: A method adapted for an electronic device for viewing medias is provided. The method includes: detecting a motion of an electronic device; determining the motion of the electronic device is a first two control motion or a second two control motion; controlling a display unit to display a previous media or a next media if the motion of the electronic device is the first two control motion; controlling the display unit to display a media of a previous album or a next album if the motion of the electronic device is the second two control motion.

Abstract: A shake responsive handheld device is provided. The shake responsive handheld device comprises a vibration switch. The vibration switch changes its state between an electrically open state and an electrically closed state during a shaking of the housing. The handheld device also includes a storage unit and a processor. The storage unit stores plurality of first type media files and a table. The first type media files are configured for reproducing sounds of tumbling dice in a dice shaker and the table is configured for defining a plurality of shaking levels, each of which corresponds to one of the first type media files. The processor, in response to signals from the vibration switch, is capable of monitoring the shaking level of the shaking of the housing, determining one of the first type media files corresponding to the shaking level according to the table, and playing the one of the first type media files until the shaking level changes.

Abstract: A method with television (TV) tuning function applied on a digital photo frame (DPF) is provided. The method includes: fetching a prompt time of at least one particular TV program; determining whether a prompt time of a particular TV program is about to arrive or has already arrived at the current time; fetching a prompt signal of the particular TV program whose prompt time is about to arrive or has already arrived, and outputting the prompt signal to prompt a particular TV program is being aired or about to air; switching the DPF from the DPF mode to a TV mode and providing the channel parameter of the particular TV program upon receiving a mode switching signal during the outputting of the prompt signal; and; and receiving and playing the particular TV program according to the channel parameter. In an exemplary embodiment, the method includes: obtaining TV program information from a TV program table under a DPF mode; determining whether a TV program is on or about to start at the current time; automatically entering a TV mode or switching from the DPF mode to the TV mode when a TV program is on or about to start; and automatically receiving and playing the TV program.

Abstract: A method for processing an image before the image is displayed on a display unit, including: obtaining information of the image and judging the aspect ratio of the image whether equal to the aspect ratio of the display unit; if equality, then display the image on the display unit; else, stretching the image to make the size of the image equal to the size of the display unit; blurring the stretched image; covering the blurred image with the original image and obtaining a combination image; displaying the combination image on the display unit. Present invention also provides an electronic device with the image processing function.

Abstract: A method of treating the skin by specific massage procedure, using one or more brushes. The method comprises the steps of providing a facial and a body massaging brush. A clockwise brush massage is applied to stimulate specific designated areas of the body for a predetermined period of time. The brush massage is performed in a specific sequence of the designated areas in compliance with a network of acupuncture points. The method of this invention improves blood circulation and simultaneously provides an exfoliation of skin tissue.
