  • Publication number: 20090040784
Abstract: A light guide plate (LGP) adapted to a backlight module having a light emitting surface, a bottom surface opposite to the light emitting surface, and at least one light incident surface contacting with the light emitting surface and the bottom surface is provided. The bottom surface has a plurality of flat surfaces and a plurality of groove groups. The groove groups and the flat surfaces are arranged in an alternating fashion. Each of the groove groups has at least two grooves. Each of the grooves has a first slanted surface, a peak, and a second slanted surface intersecting with the first slanted surface at the peak. In each of the grooves, a first side of the first slanted surface away from the peak is at a first distance from a second side of the second slanted surface away from the peak. The luminance efficiency of the LGP is better.

  • Publication number: 20090040788
Abstract: A light guide plate has a bottom surface including flat surfaces (FSs) and a plurality of prism patterns (PPs) disposed alternately with the FSs, a light emitting surface (LES) and a light incident surface (LIS). Each FS is at a first distance respectively from the LES and the first distances gradually decrease along a direction away from the LIS. Each PP has a first slanted surface (FSS) and at least a groove having a second slanted surface (SSS) and a third slanted surface (TSS). The two opposite sides of the FSS are spaced out a second distance apart. The two opposite sides of the SSS are spaced out a third distance apart. The specific value of dividing a first orthogonal projection of the second distance on an axis perpendicular to the FSs by a second orthogonal projection of the third distance on the axis is between 0.5 and 1.5.

  • Publication number: 20080143753
Abstract: A method of rapidly generating a gray-level versus brightness curve of display causes a color display to display a test image that includes a plurality of block images. Each block image has different gray-level value. By using a light detector and a color analyzing device, corresponding brightness values of the gray-level values can be obtained. Therefore, a gray-level versus brightness curve can be generated according to the gray-level values and their corresponding brightness values.

  • Publication number: 20080143752
Abstract: A method for rapidly generating the gray-level versus brightness curve of a display includes the step of obtaining a portion of the gray-level values and their corresponding brightness values. These values are then used in a mathematical formula to find variables to obtain the gray-level versus brightness curve.

  • Publication number: 20080134086
Abstract: An apparatus, a method, an application program, and a computer readable medium thereof for processing and representing a user interface are provided. The user interface generates a plurality of options arranged in a two-dimensional menu, maps the options to a plurality of display units of a surface of a three-dimensional structure, and displays a portion of the display units. A user uses a controller to select the portion of the display units for display and to select one of the options. The user interface apparatus displays various categories and the options comprised in the categories on a screen at the same time. Consequently, the user is able to learn the structure of the two-dimensional menu, all categories, and all options at the first glance. The user can operate the user interface apparatus easily and enjoy the process of browsing and operating.

  • Publication number: 20080079746
Abstract: A method of obtaining a new color temperature point as applied in a color display device. The color display device has a brightest temperature point when its red, green, and blue components are all in their brightest states. The method of obtaining a new color temperature point uses a mathematical method to find the new point which substantially satisfies the specific color temperature and also causes a minimum loss in brightness.

  • Publication number: 20070267094
Abstract: An inflatable pneumatic bag is disclosed. An inflatable pneumatic bag includes a pneumatic hole disposed at one end of a pneumatic channel. Air, which is applied to the pneumatic hole, moves along the pneumatic channel, then through air ingress holes covered with inner layers which are removed by the expansion of the outer layers to fill all the air tubes. When the air tube is filled with air, one or more inner layers cover and then close the air ingress hole to overcome reverse air flow. Then, a curve-shaped air passage in the air tube narrows to further prevent air escape. With the inner layer, effectively overcoming reverse air flow, and the air passage, further preventing air escape, the inflatable pneumatic bag filled with air may last for a substantial long period of time.

  • Publication number: 20070264473
Abstract: An air cushioning wrapping bag for wrapping a product in any shape or size is disclosed. A strip of main air tubes includes a first folding unit, a second folding unit, and a connecting unit. The connecting unit connects with the first folding unit and second folding unit. Two strips of peripheral air tubes connect to two sides of the air tubes strip. The tube diameter of the peripheral air tube is larger than the tube diameter of the air tubes strip so that when the first folding unit, the second folding unit, and their respective peripheral air tubes strips fold, a containing space for housing the product and an air cushioning layer surrounding the containing space for protecting the product are formed.
