  • Publication number: 20070118647
Abstract: A generic approach for identifying, authenticating, and correlating a received message with a particular event and a particular recipient, regardless of the number of events, number of recipients and types of media used for the originally sent message, is achieved by the inclusion of a unique ID embedded in the “From” address field of each originally sent message. Upon receipt of an incoming reply message, a parser extracts the unique ID and PIN information provided by the recipient from the message for correlation of the incoming message with the associated sent message and for authentication of the identity of the recipient sending the incoming reply message.

  • Publication number: 20050240569
Abstract: Input data queries directed at a plurality of target databases and originating from any of a plurality of sources are first converted to validated canonical forms, which are then used to query the target databases. Specifically, upon receiving an input data query, a relatively accurate reference database is selected based on the type of the input data. This reference is then queried for the input data with the intent of finding an exact matching record or a near-matching record that can be considered an exact match and thereby validating the input data. Otherwise, the requesting source is instructed to provide a new query. Once having a validated record, it is converted to a canonical form, which is then used to query the target databases intended to be searched. In a further embodiment, multiple reference databases are queried to determine a canonical form of the data or to determine multiple canonical forms of the data.

  • Patent number: 6782777
Abstract: A socket connector structure includes a base formed with two drive heads. The two drive heads formed with two circular holes and two ball receiving holes. Two drive rods are each slidably mounted in the circular hole, and are each formed with a bidirectional ball receiving cavity aligning with the ball receiving hole. Two elastic members are each mounted in the circular hole, and are each biased between the drive rod and the wall of the circular hole. Two balls are each received in the ball receiving hole, and locked in a space formed by the ball receiving hole of the drive head and the bi-directional ball receiving cavity of the drive rod.

  • Publication number: 20040131188
Abstract: A method of generating key data for successful communications during a network link, which is applied in two information devices with wireless fidelity (WiFi) wireless modules. The two information devices use identical non-private key data (SSID and WEP private key) to achieve an initial connection, and exchange their own unique network card ID numbers. The first information device and the second information device both generate new key data by utilizing the first unique ID number and the second unique ID number to ensure security of the network link.

  • Publication number: 20040103172
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of updating an operating system image of a portable information device, wherein the portable information device comprises a burn program for burning a new operating system image to a memory of the portable information device. The method first detects size of the new operating system image saved in an external device; then checks if an available capacity of the memory is sufficient for the new operating system image; if the available capacity is sufficient, proceeding to a subsequent step; further, it downloads the new operating system image from the external device; and finally starts the burn program to burn the external new operating system image to the memory.

  • Patent number: 6282994
Abstract: A socket includes an outer periphery formed with a contact surface for increasing friction on the outer periphery of the socket. In such a manner, when a small torsion is required to operate a workpiece such as a nut and the like, the socket can be fitted on the workpiece so as to directly operate the workpiece such that a user can use the contact surface to enhance the friction between the socket and the user's hand, thereby facilitating the user gripping the outer periphery of the socket to rotate the socket so as to slightly tighten or loosen the workpiece without a need to use an additional tool such as a socket wrench.
