  • Patent number: 7675595
Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel (LCD) panel is provided. The LCD panel includes a plurality of pixels. Each pixel includes a pixel electrode layer and a plurality of liquid crystal domain arranging layers. The pixel electrode layer has a plurality of slits. The liquid crystal domain arranging layers are disposed near the pixel electrode layer. Each pixel is divided into a plurality of essentially closed liquid crystal domain fields by the arranging layers and the slits. Each liquid crystal domain field is formed by encircling at least one arranging layer and at least one slit.

  • Publication number: 20100026949
Abstract: An LCD panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, pixel units, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate opposite to each other, and an opposite electrode. Each pixel unit has a first auxiliary electrode, a dielectric layer covering the first auxiliary electrode, and a pixel electrode on the dielectric layer. The first auxiliary electrode includes a transparent conductive pattern on the first substrate and a metal conductive pattern on the transparent conductive pattern. An edge of the pixel electrode and the transparent conductive pattern are partially overlapped. The opposite electrode is disposed between the second substrate and the liquid crystal layer. Liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer tilt away from the edge of the pixel electrode when a common voltage is applied to the first auxiliary electrode and the opposite electrode, and a display voltage is applied to the pixel electrode.

  • Patent number: 7586568
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and an LCD device incorporating the same are provided. The LCD panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The second substrate disposed parallel to the first substrate includes a base, a picture element, a transparent electrode, several stack layers and several reflective electrodes. The picture element having a transmission region and a reflection region is disposed on the base. The transparent electrode having several electrode portions is disposed inside the picture element. The electrode portions are alternatedly disposed in the transmission region. The stack layers alternatedly disposed on part of the transparent electrode alternate with the electrode portions. The reflective electrodes are correspondingly disposed on the top surfaces of the stack layers, and are electrically connected to the transparent electrode. The liquid crystal molecules form several domains via the lateral inclined surfaces of the stack layers.

  • Patent number: 6363913
Abstract: A fuel injector performs main fuel injection by raising fuel pressure in a nozzle chamber to lift a check valve member to a fully open position, and performs preinjection or microinjection by operating a solid state motor to lift the check valve member a much smaller distance.

  • Patent number: 5975139
Abstract: A servo control valve includes a valve body that defines a high pressure passage, a low pressure passage and a flow passage. A valve member has a first pressure surface in opposition to a control pressure surface. The valve member is positioned in the valve body and moveable between a first position in which the high pressure passage is open to the flow passage, and a second position in which the low pressure passage is open to the flow passage. A pilot member is positioned in the valve body and is moveable between an up position in which the control pressure surface is exposed to pressure in the high pressure passage, and a down position in which the control pressure surface is exposed to pressure in the low pressure passage. A spring is operably positioned to bias a valve member toward one of its first position and its second position.
