  • Publication number: 20090298328
Abstract: A connecting module includes a flat cable, a connecting interface electrically connected to one end of the flat cable, a socket electrically mounted on the connecting interface and a plug partially and detachably inserted into the socket. The plug has two opposite sides respectively having a third conductive section and a fourth conductive section disposed thereon. The third conductive section and the fourth conductive section electrically connected to each other via a displacement circuit that is disposed in the plug such that correspondences between the third conductive section and the fourth conductive section are displaced for providing a jumper function when being inserted into the socket.

  • Publication number: 20090264009
Abstract: The present invention discloses an electric connector assembly including an insulator body, a fixed part, multiple terminals, a flexible flat cable (FFC) and a metal case. The insulator body has a rectangular base, multiple accommodating tanks are located one side of the base, and an inserting part passing through the inner place of the base is located at the edge of the other side of the base. The fixed part is assembled at the inserting part of the insulating body and can accommodating multiple terminals. Each terminal has an upper contact arm and a lower contact arm, which can simultaneously contact with the FFC and maintain the steadiness of the FFC. At least one side surface of the FFC has multiple contact points, which are clipped between the terminals for electrically connection. The metal case covering one side of the insulator body seizes the FFC to achieve the grounding function.

  • Patent number: 7601017
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrical connector for fastening a flexible flat cable. The electrical connector includes an insulating body, a plurality of terminals, a pair of shims and a flip cover. The flip cover has rotatable portions pivotally disposed within the guiding grooves of the terminals, which enable the flip cover to rotate between a position for an open loop and a position for a closed loop. When the flip cover is in the position for an open loop, the rotatable portions are embedded into the guiding grooves. When the flip cover is in the position for a closed loop, the rotatable portions are propped against the upper arms and the lower arms simultaneously such that the upper contact portions are propped downwards tightly against the flexible flat cable to securely hold and position the flexible flat cable.

  • Publication number: 20090137146
Abstract: A flexible cable positioning device is disclosed. The flexible cable positioning device comprises a baseboard, a positioning housing, a cover and a flexible cable. The baseboard has a plurality of contact points. The positioning housing is located on the baseboard and corresponded to the contact points. The cover is mounted on the positioning housing, and has a plurality of protruding parts corresponding to the contact points. The flexible cable is accommodated removably in the positioning housing, and the flexible cable has a contact part disposed between the contact points and the protruding parts. The cover is for pressing and fixing the flexible cable into the positioning housing, and the protruding parts are for fixing the contact part of the flexible cable to the contact points of the baseboard. Therefore, the contact part of the flexible cable is electrically connected with the contact points of the baseboard firmly and stably.

  • Patent number: 7494347
Abstract: A board-to-board connector has a first insulative housing and a plurality of first terminals received in the first insulative housing. The first insulative housing defines a plurality of first passageways arrayed in two rows opposing to each other. Positioning portions are formed on the first insulative housing and respectively protrude into the first passageways. Each first terminal includes a base, a first soldering portion extending outwardly from a bottom of a side of the base, and a bifurcate upper contact portion extending upwardly from the base. The upper contact portion has two contact sections, a concave portion being defined between the two contact sections for corresponding to the positioning portion. When the first terminals are inserted into the first insulative housing, the concave portions of the first terminals lock with the positioning portions in the first passageways for assuring reliable engagement of the first terminals to the first insulative housing.

  • Publication number: 20080263847
Abstract: A method for assembling a flexible bus connector is disclosed, which includes the following steps. The first is a preparing step. An insulative housing and a plurality of terminals are provided. The insulative housing defines an opening and a plurality of passageways, and forms an upper side wall, a lower side wall, and a rear wall corresponding to the opening. The second is an assembling step. Each terminal includes at least a contact portion, a support portion and a soldering portion. The contact portion and the support portion are located near the opening when assembled, and the soldering portion extending toward the rear wall of the insulative housing. The third is a positioning step. A lower end of the soldering portion is located on a position where the lower end is lower than an inner surface of the lower side wall of the insulative housing.

  • Patent number: 6146987
Abstract: A method for forming a contact plug that lands on a metal line of an interconnect structure formed on a semiconductor substrate. First, a first insulating layer is formed atop the substrate and between gaps in the interconnect structure. Next, an etching stop layer is formed on the first insulating layer. A second insulating layer is formed atop the etching stop layer. The second insulating layer is patterned and etched, stopping at the etching stop layer, to form a contact opening. The portion of the etching stop layer left exposed by the contact opening is removed. Finally, a barrier metal layer is formed along the walls of the contact opening and a conducting layer is deposited into the contact opening.
