Abstract: A TV program information management method has steps of creating a channel information table, receiving and updating channel program information, generating arranged channel information and receiving download request. A management platform generates an arranged channel information according to the channel information table and the updating channel program information. The arranged channel information is hierarchical information related to cable providers, grouped channels by similarity that are provided by the cable providers, programs of the channels and ratings of the programs. A remote control downloads the arranged channel information therein so a desired program may be selected easily.

Abstract: The invention provides a communication method, which is applicable for a detection system, and a control end apparatus as well as a detection apparatus using the same method. According to one aspect of the invention, the invention proposes a communication method, which is applicable for communications between a detection system and a control end apparatus, and includes following procedures: the detection system transmitting a first digital television signal to a control end apparatus, and the first digital television signal include one or more video signals; and the control end apparatus transmits a second digital television signal to the detection system, where the second digital television signal includes one or more control commands.

The pointing device has a trackball or a joystick and an axial coding unit, outputs a set of coordinate signals after sensing a movement of the trackball or joystick operated by users, and output the set of coordinate signals so as to control a television to generate a cursor on the TV screen for operation. Accordingly, the multimedia television remote control addresses a more convenient operation and increases users' willingness to operate the remote control.

Abstract: A TV shopping system has a shopping service platform gathering and classifying channel information and consumption information for a network device connected with the shopping service platform to download through the Internet and transmit to a TV remote control. The network device can receive shopping information uploaded from the TV remote control and entered by a user and transmit the shopping information to the shopping service platform. The TV remote control has an input module for users to select a command transmitted to the network device. Given the TV shopping system, the shopping service platform can interact with the TV remote control through the network device. Users transmits the shopping information through the TV remote control, the network device to the shopping service platform, and purchases merchandise exhibited on a TV commercial or directly promoted by a shopping channel through the shopping service platform.

Abstract: A network has a server and a plurality of terminals connected to the server. The terminals are capable of requesting the server to transfer a program. The server responds to the request of the terminals by broadcasting the program to the terminals. The method for transferring the program via the network uses a terminal to request the server to re-transfer the program when the terminal receives only a portion of the program requested by another terminal instead of receiving the complete program during a timeout period. The method and the network system for transferring programs are capable of substantially reducing the transferring time for an operating system and effectively improving the transferring efficiency to overcome the prior art shortcomings.

In addition, at least a time value is stored in a second memory. During the redial procedure, the time value can be used to properly process the time delay problem between the normal phone number and the extension number.
