    Abstract: A pixel structure includes a backup thin film transistor with a float gate electrode or a float drain electrode and a working thin film transistor. When the pixel of the working thin film transistor does not work, the backup thin film transistor replaces the working thin film transistor to drive the pixel. The method of repairing the pixel is to cut off the connection between the drain electrode of the working thin film transistor and the pixel electrode, and then to connect the gate electrode or the drain electrode of the backup thin film transistor to the gate electrode or the drain electrode of the working thin film transistor, such that the backup thin film transistor can replace the working thin film transistor to drive the pixel electrode.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel having a first substrate, a plurality of horizontal and vertical conductive lines, a second substrate, a main spacer, a compensation spacer and a liquid crystal layer is provided. The horizontal and vertical conductive lines are disposed on the first substrate and overlapped each other to form a plurality of first protrusions. The second substrate is disposed over the first substrate. The main spacer and the compensation spacer are disposed on the second substrate. The main spacer is in sliding contact with the first protrusions, and the compensation spacer is disposed around the main spacer. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. When shift occurs between the first and the second substrates, the reduced contacting area between the main spacer and the first protrusion is equal to the increased contacting area between the compensation spacer and another first protrusion.

    Abstract: A pixel structure including a scan line, a gate pattern, a first dielectric layer, a channel layer, a source, a drain, a data line, a second dielectric layer and a pixel electrode is provided. The gate pattern is electrically connected with the scan line and has an opening therein. The first dielectric layer covers the scan line and the gate pattern and it fills up the opening. Besides, the channel layer is disposed on the first dielectric layer, and the source and the drain are disposed on the channel layer. The drain is disposed above the opening of the gate pattern. The source is electrically connected with the data line, and the pixel electrode is electrically connected with the drain. The overlapping area between the gate pattern that has an opening and the drain can be kept so that the gate-drain capacitor (Cgd) is not changed.

    Abstract: A thin film transistor array substrate and manufacturing method thereof are provided. A shielding layer is formed between lead lines in a peripheral region of the substrate. The shielding layer and a gate layer may be formed simultaneously so that the light leakage between lead lines connected to a source/drain layer is reduced. Alternatively, the shielding layer and the source/drain layer may be formed simultaneously so that the light leakage between lead lines connected to a gate layer is reduced. Furthermore, a common voltage may be applied to the shielding layer so that signal interference between lead lines is reduced. Moreover, in an electrical inspection of the thin film transistor array, any short circuit between the lead lines and the shielding layer can be determined.
