  • Publication number: 20140362751
Abstract: Disclosure herein is related to a portable voice routing apparatus, a system, and a method for processing a telephony voice call. In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the portable voice routing apparatus provides a local network protocol service for the local-end terminal devices, and renders a connection bridging a mobile communication network. When the terminal device initiates a telephony voice communication procedure, the portable voice routing apparatus transmits the voice packets carried with subscriber identity information. Therefore the terminal device may establish a voice communication with a recipient over PSTN or network. At the recipient, a message with an incoming call is shown due to the received subscriber identity information. The recipient may therefore call back for bi-directional voice communication according to this message.

  • Patent number: 8611593
Abstract: A foreground object detection system and method establishes a background model by reading N frames of a video stream generated by a camera. The detection system further reads each frame of the video stream, detects the pixel value difference and the brightness value difference for each pair of two corresponding pixels of two consecutive frames for each of the N frames of the video stream. In detail, by comparing the pixel value difference with a pixel threshold and by comparing the brightness value difference with a brightness threshold, the detection system may determine a foreground or background pixel.

  • Patent number: 8452057
Abstract: A method controls a projection of a projector. The method predetermines hand gestures, and assigns an operation function of an input device to each of the predetermined hand gestures. When an electronic file is projected onto a screen, the projector receives an image of a speaker captured by an image-capturing device connected to the projector. The projector identifies whether a hand gesture of the speaker matches one of the predetermined hand gestures. If the hand gesture matches one of the hand gestures, the projector may execute a corresponding assigned operation function.

  • Publication number: 20110304730
Abstract: A method for aiming a pan, tilt, and zoom (PTZ) camera captures a first image of a monitored area, and calculates a state vector of a predetermined object or point in the first image at one zoom setting. The state vector of the predetermined object or point is recorded in a state vector table. The method aims the PTZ camera to align a center point of the first image to a selected target point, and captures a second image of the monitored area. In order to calculate state vectors of points in the second image, N pieces of reference images related to the second image are calculated using a particle filter. After calculating a similarity between each of the N pieces of reference images and the second image, the method calculates the state vectors of the points in the second image according to each similarity, and updates the state vector table with the state vectors.

  • Publication number: 20110280478
Abstract: An object monitoring system and method identify a foreground object from a current frame of a video stream of a monitored area. The monitoring system marks foreground pixels of the foreground object as interest points, and identifies a plurality of corresponding pixels of the foreground pixels as the interest points, to obtain a first pixel set. The object monitoring system searches pixels corresponding to the first pixel set from the background model to obtain a second pixel set if a pixel number of the first pixel set is larger than a determined value. By comparing a size of the first pixel set with that of the second pixel set, the object monitoring system can determine whether the object has entered or exited the monitored area.

Abstract: An object monitoring system and method identify a foreground object from a current frame of a video stream of a monitored area. The object monitoring system determines whether an object has entered or exited the monitored area according to the foreground object, and generates a security alarm. The object monitoring system searches N pieces of reference images just before an image is captured at the time of a generation of the security alarm, and detects information related to the object from the N pieces of reference images. By comparing the related information with vector descriptions of human body models stored in a feature database, and a holder or a remover of the object can be recognized.

  • Publication number: 20110254252
Abstract: A folding bicycle with a telescopic rod includes a bicycle body, a folding switch and the telescopic rod. The bicycle body includes front and rear frames that are foldable against each other. The telescopic rod has two ends respectively and pivotally connected to the front and rear frames, and has an engaging position thereof. The folding switch is disposed on a lateral side of the bicycle body to fix the front and rear frames together or release from each other. When the bicycle body is unfolded, the telescopic rod is driven to extend, and the folding switch fixes the front and rear frames together. When the bicycle body is folded in half, the telescopic rod is driven to retract and fixed in the engaging position. Thus, the present invention has advantages of enhanced rigidity of the bicycle body, easily movability, auxiliary positioning, simply rapid folding and lower costs.

  • Publication number: 20110249019
Abstract: A projection system includes first and second cameras, a projector, and a processing unit. The first camera captures an object to obtain a first image of the object. The projector projects the first image to a projection region. The second camera captures the projection region to obtain a second image of the projection region. The second image is detected to determine whether a gesture is in the projection region. If a gesture is in the projection region, a number of symbols are transmitted to the projector. The symbols are projected in the projection region to form a number of controlling symbols. The second image is further detected to determine whether one controlling symbol is selected. If one controlling symbol is selected, the processing unit controls the first camera, the second camera, or the projector.
