  • Publication number: 20060170972
Abstract: A system and method of processing an error diffusion half-tone image, which produces a halftone image in accordance with a continuous-tone image. The continuous tone image consists of a two-dimension array of pixels (i, j), where i, j indicate i-th row and j-th column of the image. The method includes: (A) selecting a threshold as a k-th color threshold in accordance with a value of a k-th color of a pixel (i, j); (B) comparing the value of the k-th color of the pixel (i, j) and the k-th color threshold; (C) outputting a bi-level value associated with the k-th color of the pixel (i, j) in accordance with a comparison result produced in step (B); (D) determining an error between the k-th color value of the pixel (i, j) and the bi-level value; (E) diffusing the error to k-th colors of pixels adjacent to the pixel (i, j).

  • Publication number: 20050047924
Abstract: A microfluidic pump driven by thermoacoustic effect is mainly composed of a thermoacoustic device, a fluid-storing tank, and at least one microchannel, etc., wherein the thermoacoustic device may convert thermal energy into acoustic energy. Pressure fluctuation and velocity fluctuation with high frequency are generated by the acoustic wave. According to the high amplitude pressure fluctuation, the microfluid with high moving velocity emitted through microchannels. Since there is no movable part arranged in the thermo-acoustic generator. In the meantime, it indirectly drives the working fluid located in the fluid-storing tank by the manner of indirect contact. So the present invention may be applied in the non-conductive fluid so as to greatly extend its field of application. Moreover, the characteristics of the fluid won't be influenced by the heating process as well. The present invention is indeed a microfluid-driving device that has inventiveness and high application value.

  • Publication number: 20050011110
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method for attracting mosquitoes by using the microbe product as the mosquito bait as well as simulating the human emanated odors. A bait-releasing unit/means is included to enhance the release of the mosquito bait. A well-controlled heating assembly can be used to generate a suitable thermal gradient for simulating body temperature and evaporating the bait. The microbe product comprises at least a sterilized supernatant of a bacterial incubation product. The apparatus of this invention can further include electrocution grids or insecticide webs to destroy attracted mosquitoes.

  • Publication number: 20040128513
Abstract: The present invention relates to a secured electronic document and method of validating the same. A security key is generated when the electronic document is generated and a printer driver is invoked to print out the encrypted document, and the security key is saved to a key manager over the network. When the secured electronic document or encrypted document is circulated to other persons or downstream processing units, the document recipients can request the security key from the key manager through the network link to check whether the encrypted document is the original copy. The security key may contain the document identification number, the serial number of the printer, the printer profile or printing status.

  • Publication number: 20010055206
Abstract: A roadway diversion lighting fixture. The lighting fixture includes a casing, a solar panel for receiving sunlight and a light-emitting source capable of producing flashes. The lighting fixture can provide illumination all day and can operate in all kinds of weather conditions. The lighting fixture is easy to mount and operate. Moreover, there is no need to replace battery regularly or to lay down power cable. The casing is painted to prevent rusting, the accumulation of dust and infiltration by water.

  • Patent number: 5472299
Abstract: A main shaft locating mechanism for change of tool, comprising a locating seat disposed with an eccentric, and a splined shaft disposed with a disk having an eccentric locating pin corresponding to the eccentric hole of the locating seat and adapted to axially fit thereinto. The disk and eccentric locating pin are formed with several orifices from which high pressure gas is injected, forming a gas pad between the eccentric locating pin and the locating seat to greatly reduce friction therebetween before the eccentric locating pin is fitted with the locating seat, whereby the main shaft stops rotating before the the tool is loosened. After the main shaft is stopped and located and the tool is loosened, the direction of the high pressure gas is changed to blow into the mandrel so as to clear up cutting chips accumulated therein for facilitating next tool-changing operation.
