  • Publication number: 20090183342
Abstract: A bidirectional pivot structure includes a horizontal rotation axis module, a rotation switching device and a vertical rotation axis module. The rotation switching device is pivotally connected to the horizontal rotation axis module and the vertical rotation axis module. The vertical rotation axis module includes an aligning element, a rotation position limiting element, a stabilizing element, a flexible element and a locking element. The rotation position limiting element has a position limiting convex dot and a position limiting arc fitted to a guide rail and a position limiting protrusion of the aligning element for limiting the rotary angle of the vertical rotation axis module. The stabilizing element has a positioning convex dot and a stabilizing protrusion fitted to the positioning holes of the aligning element to maintain a frictional stability.

  • Publication number: 20080209063
Abstract: A system of remote objects with network streaming ability includes a streaming client, a plurality of streaming servers, a streaming buffer area, a plurality of first continuous buffer areas, a streaming controller, a plurality of first network connections, and a plurality of second network connections. The plurality of streaming servers is used to respond a remote procedure call from the streaming client. The streaming buffer area stores a complete data unit for the streaming client to access. A generation method of remote objects with network streaming ability is further provided. The method includes executing a link procedure, executing a streaming preparation, executing a streaming transfer procedure, and closing the link procedure.

  • Publication number: 20080126825
Abstract: A timing recovery method includes receiving a plurality of data packets via a transmission channel, wherein at least a data packet is attached with a timestamp generated according to a channel clock of the transmission channel at a source end; calculating a compensation value according to the timestamp and a channel timer value upon receipt of the data packet, wherein the channel timer value is generated by the channel clock of the transmission channel at a destination end; and utilizing the calculated compensation value to adjust processing timing of the received data packets.

  • Patent number: 7353252
Abstract: A system for electronic file collaboration among multiple users is implemented using command messages transmitted on dedicated network channels established between conference participants in a peer-to-peer architecture with total autonomy from a central server. The system employs owner-in-control methodology to allow direct transmission of copies of documents among participants by permission, and to prevent storage of copies of documents used in a conference by participants. Mark-ups, additions, and other actions occurring on a conference document can only be saved by the document owner. An advanced viewer engine is provided for reading, displaying and manipulating electronic data in texts, tables, vectors and 3D model formats, as well as common raster images. A proxy module allows data transmitted through IPFW routers or firewall devices with sufficient authentications and security measures.

  • Publication number: 20080054793
Abstract: A white light-emitting apparatus including a light-emitting device, a nitride fluorescent material and an oxynitride fluorescent material is provided. The light-emitting device is capable of generating a first color light having a first wavelength range. The nitride fluorescent material and the oxynitride fluorescent material cover the light-emitting device. The nitride and oxynitride fluorescent material are excited by the first color light, and further generate a second color light having a second wavelength range and a third color light having a third wavelength range, respectively. The first, second and third color lights are mixed together to generate a white light. A white light-emitting diode is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070110027
Abstract: The present invention relates to packet stream processing systems and methods for multiple cascaded units. Each unit has a packet rate compensator to maintain a time interval of packets output from the unit approximately the same as a corresponding input interval. A smooth real-time transmission and presentation can thus be ensured by keeping the same packet transmission rate with the original packet input rate for the packets. A signal synchronizer is located between asynchronous units or at the input of a unit receiving packets from an asynchronous source, to ensure reliable packet transmission across the units.

  • Publication number: 20070028026
Abstract: An apparatus that includes a controller to regulate a rate of transfer of MPEG transport stream packets from a first storage device to a second storage device based on transfer rate control information derived from at least some of the MPEG transport stream packets. For example, the transfer rate control information may include time information, and the time information may include program clock references. In some examples, the first storage device can be a hard disk drive or a dynamic random access memory, and the second storage device can be a Blu-ray Disc recorder.

  • Publication number: 20050165881
Abstract: The event-driven queuing system and method (“EDQS”) comprises at least one each of a client, supervisor, and worker, together with network communications between each client and supervisor and between each supervisor and worker, and a component selected from the group comprising EDQS messaging architecture, EDQS job routing, EDQS event/callback architecture, EDQS job type data architecture, and the EDQS domain specific language. The EDQS typically provides arithmetical increases in dispatch time as jobs and workers are added to a farm, substantial improvements in processing jobs based on the status of one or more other jobs in a process group, and substantial improvements in the use of standalone or clustered heterogeneous platforms in a farm.
