    Abstract: A method to be implemented by a vehicle capable of communication with a portable electronic device is shown. The vehicle includes an electrical system including a power switch, and an indicating system including a processor, a wireless transmission module and an indicating unit. The method includes: controlling the electrical system to temporarily provide electric power to the indicating system when the power switch is switched from a conductive state to a non-conductive state; determining whether a wireless connection is established between the portable electronic device and the wireless transmission module. When it is determined that the wireless connection is established, activating the indicating unit to output an indication signal.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for registering detection of electronic devices are provided. First, a first signal is wirelessly received by an electronic device, wherein the first signal is broadcasted by a first electronic device, and the first signal at least includes identification data and specific information corresponding to the first electronic device. The specific information includes motion information of the first electronic device, or specific data generated based on the motion information. Then, a registration process is performed for the first signal by first determining whether the specific information conforms to predefined information. When the specific information conforms to predefined information, the identification data corresponding to the first electronic device is registered. Signals having the registered identification data will be further processed in the electronic device.

    Abstract: A satellite navigation method and system are provided. The system includes a global position system module, an input unit, a picture database, a geographical information system module, an integrating unit, and a display unit. The method includes the following steps. Firstly, a navigation area is determined through the input unit, so as to search out several picture batches in the navigation area from the picture database. Next, a map relating to the navigation area is provided by the GIS module. Then, the picture batches and the map are integrated by the integrating unit to produce an integrated map shown on a first frame of the display unit. Afterwards, several pictures of the picture batch chosen from the first frame displayed on a second frame and satellite navigation information of the picture chosen from the second frame are displayed on a third frame by the display unit.

A method for preparing an open plant cultivation device includes: putting a container in a sterile space; feeding a medium colloid into the container and immersing a part of a plant in the medium colloid; solidifying the medium into a medium layer; disposing a separation layer onto the medium layer to form the open plant cultivation device. The present invention has the open growing space and the effect of protecting the medium layer from contamination.

    Abstract: A method and system for using an image sensor to control applications on a mobile device is disclosed. The system uses image processing to detect control gestures by the user. Control gestures may include, for example, moving a hand laterally, moving the hand closer or farther away from the camera, or opening and closing a hand. These control motions are linked to user commands to be executed by the application being controlled. The system initializes by storing a background image showing the field of view of the image sensor before any objects are present. It then detects new objects in the field of view by comparing new images to the background image. If a new object is detected, the system waits until the object is stationary in the field of view. After the object is stationary, the system detects if there is a change in the object indicating a control gesture.
