Abstract: An electrical special plug connector includes a mating space, for receiving a mating tongue of a complementary receptacle connector, with a corresponding latch extending thereinto, and further equipped with a moveable actuator to move a corresponding latch away from the mating space toward an outer position when said actuator is affected by magnetic forces derived from a special receptacle connector equipped with a magnet so as to have the special plug connector mated with the special receptacle connector with magnetic forces while keeping the corresponding latch in an inner position to interlock with a locking notch of a standard type C receptacle connector.

The insulative housing includes a base and a mating tongue extending forwardly therefrom. The mating tongue includes two opposite mating faces and two opposite side faces. The shell includes a holding portion and a mating portion. The mating portion of the shell includes two short-walls facing to the two side faces of the mating tongue and at most a long-wall facing to one of the mating faces of the mating tongue so that at least one of the mating faces of the mating tongue could be exposed to exterior in a vertical direction.

The shell includes a seat and a sidewall extending forwardly from the seat, the seat defines a front opening and a receiving cavity. The base is received in the receiving cavity and the mating tongue extends across the front opening and located in the mating cavity. The seat defines a pouring hole from an outer face thereof and communicating with the receiving cavity, the glue is filled with gap between the terminal module and the outer shell via the pouring hole.

Each row of terminals include grounding terminals in terminal positions P1, P12, power terminals in terminal positions P4, P9, and there are no terminals set in terminal positions P2, P3, P10, P11. The soldering pads of the two rows of terminals are arranged in one row and at least two grounding terminals or two power terminals aligned with each other in a vertical direction are located side by side so as to share a same pad defined on the PCB.
