  • Patent number: 6364513
Abstract: A motor vehicle lighting device is provided comprising a ground illumination portion configured to direct a portion of the light emitted from a light source to illuminate a ground surface area rearward from the motor vehicle and a reverse signaling portion configured to direct a portion of the light emitted from the light source to an area different than the ground illumination portion. In this manner, a rearward vehicle lighting device designed for ground illumination and reverse signaling is provided from a single lamp and more preferably, using a single light source.

  • Patent number: 5774917
Abstract: A turn mattress includes a plurality of inflatable sacs juxtapositionally connected together within a mattress envelope, each inflatable sac being transverse to a longitudinal axis of the mattress and having a right cell and a left cell separated by a central diaphragm and respectively communicated with an air distributing system to be alternatively inflated or deflated for turning a patient ridden on the mattress from side to side, and a pair of restoring air bags each inherently formed and constantly inflated in each cell, whereby upon deflation of either cell, the restoring air bag as inflated will serve as a side guard for preventing a slipping of the patient away from the mattress laid on a hospital bed.

  • Patent number: 5547876
Abstract: Non-toxic combustion decomposition accelerators and processes for their production for elemental analysis. The non-toxic accelerators may be either single component or multicomponent. The single component non-toxic accelerators are glass frit, niobium pentoxide, and inorganic phosphate compounds. The multicomponent accelerators are formed from a combination of the foregoing, and most preferably from (a) one or more of niobium pentoxide, tungsten oxide and mixtures thereof, and (b) one or more of glass frit, inorganic phosphate compounds, and mixtures thereof.

  • Patent number: 4830035
Abstract: A foldable walker includes a pair of side walking legs pivotally mounted on a pair of T joints, a front transverse bar secured between the two T joints, a pair of foldable links each pivotally connected between each T joint and each side walking leg, and a pair of seesaw controllers each fixed on an outer tube of a link and seesawly biasing a locking button resiliently retained in an inner tube of the link, whereby upon the depressing of the button by the seesaw controller, the inner tube will be telescopically received within the outer tube when folding the side walking legs toward the front bar, thereby resulting in a simpler, quicker and more convenient folding operation of the walker.
