Abstract: A projection lens adjustment module applicable to a projection lens is provided. The projection lens includes a first assembly and a second assembly. The projection lens adjustment module includes a flexible connection line, an adjusting element and a driving mechanism. The flexible connection line has a first end and a second end opposite to each other. The adjusting element is connected to the first end. The driving mechanism is connected to the second assembly and the second end. When the adjusting element drives the first end to move along a first direction thereby leading the second end to move along a second direction non-parallel to the first direction, the second end drives the second assembly to move along an optical axis direction of the projection lens relative to the first assembly through the driving mechanism.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus and a method for temporarily storing data thereof, adapted to temporarily store the data downloaded from a remote apparatus, are provided. In the method, an access instruction to the remote apparatus is captured, and accordingly a file requested by the access instruction or metadata of all files and subfolders under a folder requested by the access instruction is downloaded and temporarily stored in a storage unit, in which a usage time of the temporarily stored file is recorded. When a specific condition is met, the usage time of all the temporarily stored files is checked and at least one file that is not accessed for the longest time is deleted accordingly. The folder having the deleted file is checked whether not to include data of any file, and accordingly the metadata of all the files and subfolders under the folder is deleted.

Abstract: Computer-implemented techniques involve detecting, by a server having one or more processors, a first cellular connection between a computing device and a first cellular network of a first cellular carrier associated with a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), detecting, by the server, an outage of at least the first cellular network of the first cellular carrier, in response to detecting the outage of the first cellular network, determining, by the server, an alternate communication channel by which to communicate with the computing device, and transmitting, by the server, a carrier switch instruction to the computing device via the alternate communication channel, wherein receipt of the carrier switch instruction causes the computing device to: (i) terminate the first cellular connection and (ii) initiate a second cellular connection with another cellular network of different second cellular carrier associated with the MVNO.

Abstract: A method for maintaining transmission control protocol (TCP) connection and a computer system are provided. The method is adapted to a computer system having a network card and a processor, wherein the processor executes an operating system. In the method, a first TCP connection with a remote server is first established via the network card. Then, after the operating system enters a power saving mode, a wake-up packet transmitted by the remote server through the first TCP connection is received to wake the operating system. The operating system resets the retransmission time of the remote server transmitting the wake-up packet when resuming a normal operation mode.

Abstract: The finger print detection method includes: accessing a part of an input image to generate a checked image; setting a gray level range, wherein each of a gray level of the gray level rang is larger than a minimum gray level and smaller than a maximum gray level; obtaining a detected pixel number of the checked image corresponding to all of the gray levels within the gray level range; and, checking whether the detected pixel number is larger than a product value of a preset ratio and a total pixel number of the checked image or not to determine whether the checked image is a finger print or not.

Abstract: A maintenance method for network connection and a computer system are provided. The method is adapted to a computer system having a real-time clock. The real-time clock is configured to regularly wake up the computer system to check whether a network connection is working normally. In the method, a wake up operation to wake up the computer system is received from a user. It is determined whether a connection time of maintaining the network connection so far from a last time of entering a power saving mode is greater than a counting time for the real-time clock to wake up the computer system. It is tested whether the network connection is working normally when the connection time is greater than the counting time. The counting time of the real-time clock is updated to the connection time when the network connection is working normally.

Abstract: A semiconductor package is provided, which includes: a dielectric layer made of a material used for fabricating built-up layer structures; a conductive trace layer formed on the dielectric layer; a semiconductor chip is mounted on and electrically connected to the conductive trace layer; and an encapsulant formed over the dielectric layer to encapsulate the semiconductor chip and the conductive trace layer. Since a strong bonding is formed between the dielectric layer and the conductive trace layer, the present invention can prevent delamination between the dielectric layer and the conductive trace layer from occurrence, thereby improving reliability and facilitating the package miniaturization by current fabrication methods.

Abstract: A maintenance method for network connection and a computer system are provided. The method is adapted to a computer system having a timer. The timer is configured to regularly wake up the computer system to check whether a network connection is working normally. In the method, the computer system is waked up at intervals of a first time interval within a predetermined period and a current IP address of the computer system is extracted. The predetermined period is divided into a plurality of periods by the first time interval. Whether a change occurs on the IP address is determined withing each of the periods, and accordingly the computer system is waked up to check the network connection.

The electrical connector of the present invention utilizes a bonding material, disposed at least between the electrical spring contact elements on a surface of the connector, to bond and retain first and second portions of the electrical connector in an actuated state on a mating circuit element whereby stable and low resistance electrical interconnections are formed and maintained between the electrical connector and interconnection terminals on the mating circuit element. This design permits the electrical connector to be low-profile and use a reduced amount of space on a circuit member such as a PCB.
