  • Patent number: 7292213
Abstract: A method and device for repairing defective pixels of a liquid crystal display panel. First, examine the liquid crystal panel to obtain the locations of defective pixels on a liquid crystal display. Next, input a pixel signal wherein the pixel signal further comprises a pixel brightness signal used to control a pixel with a first brightness according to the pixel signal. When the pixel signal is used to be inputted to the defective pixel, the pixel brightness signal of the pixel signal will be replaced by a default brightness signal wherein the default brightness signal controls the pixel with a second brightness. Of which, the second brightness, whose level of brightness is of complete darkness for instance, is dimmer than the first brightness. At last, output pixel signals.

  • Patent number: 7236786
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing fast handoff in WLAN-like communications system construct a caching candidate set based upon a weighted handoff tendency coefficient. The weighted handoff tendency coefficient is based upon the handoff matrix and the weighting factor. The handoff matrix is an adaptive two-dimensional array that provides a list of nearby access points relative to a mobile station and the weighting factor is a value that prioritizes the nearby access points based upon a signal quality indication. A home access point, once it is triggered to initialize proactive caching, provides the caching candidate set with registration data of the mobile station before a transfer of a connection between the home access point and one of the access points on the caching candidate set.

  • Patent number: 6932272
Abstract: A micro bar code and a recognition system and method thereof are provided. The micro bar code is provided with a plurality of nanounits disposed in a predetermined arrangement. The nanounits are provided with nanomolecules having different sizes respectively. In the recognition system and method, a sensing module senses the arrangement of the nanounits and the sizes of the nanomolecules on the micro bar code. The sensing result from the sensing module is transmitted to an operating module and then inputted to a bar code database that stores information corresponding to arrangement of each set of nanounits and sizes of each set of nanomolecules, so as to recognize the information on the micro bar code to be recognized. Finally, the recognition result is transmitted back to the operating module for recording. The micro bar code has advantages of small size and large data storage capacity.

  • Patent number: 6750586
Abstract: A DC brushless motor structure comprises a cylinder-like base having a through-hole or a chamber. The through-hole acts as an axle hole for rotatably receiving a shaft of a rotor. Alternatively, the shaft of the rotor is rotatably received in the chamber. An axle hole is defined in an end of the base. Another axle hole is defined in a lid attached to an end of the base. The shaft of the rotor is rotatably received in the axle holes. At least two sets of windings are mounted to the base. Also mounted to the base is an IC control member electrically connected to the windings. A magnetic force is generated by a magnetic field that is created as a result of energizing the windings to thereby repulse the permanent magnet of the rotor having a north pole and a south pole, thereby driving the rotor to turn.

  • Patent number: 6739572
Abstract: A timing lock device for a faucet includes a valve seat, a top cover, a locking washer, a relief rod, a locking valve shaft, and a compression spring. In use, the relief rod may be used to release the water pressure in the pressure storage chamber of the top cover. Then, the locking washer may be moved upward by the locking valve shaft, so that the water may flow outward. When not in use, the water may flow through the return through hole of the top cover into the pressure storage chamber. Thus, the water flow may be stopped automatically by the restoring force of the compression spring and the water pressure in the pressure storage chamber, thereby saving the manual work, and thereby achieving an excellent leakproof effect.

  • Publication number: 20040095030
Abstract: A winding method comprises winding a single conducting wire around a predetermined number of pegs in sequence to thereby form a stator coil assembly having even coils and two ends. The winding direction of each coil is opposite to a coil adjacent thereto. The stator coil assembly having even coils is mounted to a casing of a D.C. motor with the coils located corresponding to a permanent magnet of a rotor. The rotor having the permanent magnet is driven to turn by magnetic forces created as a result of energizing the coils.

  • Patent number: 6737769
Abstract: An easy-to-start structure for a D.C. brushless motor comprises a base including a through-hole. Plural windings and an IC control member are mounted to the base. At least one magnetically attractive positioning member is mounted to the base and located between two windings that are adjacent to each other. A rotor comprises a shaft rotatably held by a support section in the through-hole and a permanent ring magnet mounted to the shaft, the permanent ring magnet having north and south poles, each of the south pole and the north pole having a strong magnetic area. The positioning member attracts and thus retains one of the strong magnetic areas of the permanent ring magnet in a position proximal to the positioning member when the rotor stops. Thus, the rotor rests in a pre-determined position not located in a dead corner for restarting.
