Abstract: A method of handling delayed signaling of a target mobile device for a first network control node is disclosed. The method comprises the first network control node receiving a request from a network gateway node; the registered network control node setting a flag and informing a data base to set the flag for the target mobile device when the first network control node fails to deliver the request to the target mobile device; and the first network control node sending the flag to a second network control node when the target mobile device is reachable in the second network control node.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a UE, a base station, and a MTC-IWF for implementing MTC group trigger messages through a Cell Broadcasting Service (CBS). The method includes a MTC (Machine Type Communication) server transmitting to a MTC Inter-working Function (MTC-IWF) a trigger payload. The trigger payload would be delivered by the MTC-IWF to a group of MTC devices through Cell Broadcasting Center (CBC) and network nodes. The trigger payload may include a group trigger message indicator which distinguishes the group trigger message from a normal warning message. In response to receiving the content of the trigger payload, the network would page a group of MTC devices. From the group trigger message indicator embedded in the paging message, each MTC device would be able to receive a group trigger message through new system information block of the broadcast information.

Abstract: A method for handling Proximity-based Service (ProSe) discovery, comprising: performing a ProSe communication preparation procedure, in response to a received ProSe discovery request message, with a first UE and a second UE, for guiding ProSe discovery between the first UE and the second UE, wherein the received ProSe discovery request message indicates ProSe identifiers of the first UE and the second UE for ProSe communication and the ProSe communication preparation procedure comprises transmitting a first request message including scheduled information for the first UE and a second request message including scheduled information for the second UE, to the first UE and to the second UE respectively, and receiving response messages from the first and second UE; determining if a direct radio link between the first UE and the second UE is feasible for ProSe communication based on the received response messages from the first and second UE.

Abstract: A method of handling signaling and data transmission for machine-type communication (MTC) for a core network in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The core network includes at least one of a network control node, a data base and a network gateway node. The method includes the network gateway node selectively performing trigger suppression operation on at least a trigger request from a MTC server according to whether the core network is congested or overloaded, wherein each of the at least a trigger request is used to trigger at least an MTC application on a MTC device, wherein the trigger suppression operation is performed according to a trigger suppression setting received from the network control node.

Abstract: A method of handling a location reporting procedure comprises performing, by a first proximity service (ProSe) function entity, a registration procedure for a proximity service with a first communication device; and performing, by the first ProSe function entity, the location reporting procedure for the proximity service between the first communication device and a second communication device; and transmitting, by the first ProSe function entity, a cancel location reporting message to a Secure User Plane Location (SUPL) Location Platform (SLP) server to cancel the location reporting procedure for the first communication device registered to the first ProSe function entity, when a timer of the proximity request message expires.

Abstract: A method of identifying a visited public land mobile network (VPLMN) comprises a proximity service (ProSe) function in a home PLMN (HPLMN) of an announcing user equipment (UE) receiving a match report message comprising a ProSe Application Code from a ProSe function in a HPLMN of a monitoring UE; and the ProSe function in the HPLMN of the announcing UE transmitting a match response message comprising a ProSe Application ID Name of the ProSe Application Code and a PLMN ID of a VPLMN registered by the announcing UE to the ProSe function in the HPLMN of the monitoring UE to respond to the match report message.

Abstract: A charging method for Proximity-based Service (ProSe) used in a first user equipment (UE) of a wireless communication system is disclosed. The charging method includes: establishing a ProSe service with a second UE; generating charging information for the ProSe service according to collected transmission information, wherein the ProSe service is between the first UE and a second UE in proximity and comprises ProSe discovery, ProSe communication or both, and wherein the transmission information comprises at least one of: radio resources dedicated for the ProSe service, allocated to the first UE by the a base station of the wireless communication system; at least one traffic volume report corresponding to uplink or downlink data volume, transmitted to the base station; and a time-elapsed duration for the ProSe service; and transmitting the charging information for the ProSe service to the base station or a core network entity of the wireless communication system.

Abstract: A method of handling proximity service (ProSe) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes transmitting, by a mobile device of the wireless communication system, a request message to one of the plurality Mobility Management Entities (MMEs) of the wireless communication system, for requesting a proximity service (ProSe) service; and indicating, by the one of the plurality of MMEs, to the mobile device a ProSe capability of a system network of the wireless communication system in an accept message.

Abstract: A method of handling non-access stratum (NAS) mobility management (MM) messages for a user equipment in a wireless communication system when the user equipment is configured for dual priority includes sending a first NAS MM request message containing a first priority level to a network in the wireless communication system, and storing a priority indicator indicating the first priority level in a non-volatile memory if the user equipment receives a NAS MM reject message with a mobility management back-off (MMBK) timer from the network.

Abstract: A Proximity-based Service (ProSe) registration method for a user equipment (UE) of a wireless communication system, used in a Mobility Management Entity (MME) of the wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes: receiving an attach request or a tracking area update request for requesting ProSe UE registration from the UE; retrieving ProSe subscription information and ProSe preference settings related to the UE from a home subscriber server (HSS) of the wireless communication system and storing the ProSe subscription information and the ProSe preference settings related to the UE as a ProSe context of the UE; and transmitting a ProSe registration request including a ProSe identifier of the UE and the ProSe preference settings related to the UE to a ProSe server of the wireless communication system.

Abstract: A method of handling device to device communication for a first user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes establishing a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection to a network of the wireless communication system; and receiving a first RRC message indicating to the first UE to use a first data radio bearer (DRB) for a proximity-based services (ProSe) communication with a second UE of the wireless communication system, wherein the first DRB is different from a second DRB for communication between the first UE and the network.

Abstract: A method of subscription control for a first network control node in a mobile communication environment is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a trigger request message for triggering a mobile communication device from a machine-type communication (MTC) server, determining whether the trigger request message is valid according to whether one or more MTC features required by an application indicated in the trigger request message is subscribed or activated by the mobile communication device and is supported by a network control node of the mobile communication system, and accepting the trigger request message and forwarding the trigger request message to the network control node when the trigger request message is determined to be valid.
