Abstract: A system and method for short message (SM) barring. A storage device stores a service configuration record comprising a telephone number, a first parameter and a second parameter. The first parameter indicates whether the telephone number allows incoming short message service (SMS) in a first mobile network, and the second parameter indicates whether the telephone number allows short message transmission via a second mobile network. A process unit receives a SM transmission request with a destination telephone number and an SM, acquires both the first parameter and the second parameter corresponding to the destination telephone number from the service configuration record, and transmits an error message if both the first parameter and the second parameter are negative.

Abstract: A system and a method for managing an incoming call are provided. The system includes a first mobile device wirelessly connected to a first answering module and a second mobile device wirelessly connected to a second answering module. The first mobile device and the second mobile device communicate with a telephone system. An authentication matrix for grouping the first and second answering modules into a same group is stored in both the first and the second answering modules. When the first mobile device receives an incoming call through the telephone system, the second answering module selectively takes over to communicate with the incoming call.

The ice module assembly is attached to the lower container and freezes the chilled liquid into ice cubes in a short time. The ice cube maker allows people who do have a refrigerator to make ice cubes and chilled liquid. The ice cubes and chilled liquid do not have any strange smell.

Abstract: A system for video conference, proxy and method thereof are provided. The system includes a first mobile device with video service, configured to capture a first image; a second mobile device with video service, connected to the first mobile device by using a first network protocol; a first computer with video service, configured to capture a second image; a second computer with video service, configured to capture a third image and connected to the first computer by using a second network protocol; and a proxy server connected to the first and the second computers by using the second network protocol and connected to the second mobile device by using a third network protocol. The proxy server can combine the second image and the third image into a fourth image and transmit the fourth image to the first mobile device via the second mobile device.

Abstract: A detector for detecting and simultaneously diagnosing at least one subtype of human papilloma viruses (HPV) contained in a biological sample is provided. The detector comprises: a carrier, a plurality of micro-dots immobilized on the carrier, wherein each micro-dot is for identifying one particular HPV subtype, and the HPV subtype is one selected from a group consisting of 39 different HPV subtypes; and at least one oligonucleotide sequence contained in each the micro-dot that is specific to the one particular HPV subtype, wherein the at least one oligonucleotide sequence serves as a detection probe that hybridizes specifically with an L1 gene sequence of the one particular HPV subtype to form a hybridization complex as a detection indicator, so that each micro-dot identifies one particular HPV subtype via a corresponding oligonucleotide of the one particular HPV subtype, and thereby detecting and simultaneously identifying subtypes of human papilloma viruses.

The immuno-chromatographic test piece further comprises a test starting portion, an indicating portion and a test stopping portion. Furthermore, the cover is used to protect the test stopping portion, the indicating portion and part of the test starting portion, so that the bio-specimen is allowed to enter the immuno-chromatographic testing piece only from the test starting portion.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a dehydration and preservation method for a sanitary utensil containing bio-specimen. First, a closed system for storing the sanitary utensil containing bio-specimen is provided. Next, a drying agent is provided in the closed system to remove the water vapor evolved from the bio-specimen. Additionally, a deodorization agent can be provided in the closed system to absorb the smell of the bio-specimen. Moreover, this invention also discloses several storage devices for storing a sanitary utensil containing bio-specimen.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel nucleic acid and protein sequences from the mung bean Vigna radiata. The nucleic acid sequence, isolated from a bruchid resistant mung bean line, encodes a thionin-like protein with insecticidal properties.

Abstract: An automatic powdered ice machine has an ice barrel with a chamber defined through the ice barrel. Refrigerating devices are provided at an outer periphery of the ice barrel. A milling device has a milling pole with a helical ridge extending into the ice barrel and driven by a motor to rotate. A feeding member is provided beside the milling device. When the ice barrel is cooled by the refrigerating device to ?10° C. and below, liquid is poured into the ice barrel by the feeding member and frozen. Then, the milling device is actuated and the ice is removed and powdered by the helical ridge, and pushed downwards to fall into a container under the ice barrel.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a noninvasive collection device for collecting bio-specimens of female, which comprises an absorbing layer and a supporting layer, wherein the absorbing layer is used for collecting bio-specimens, such as secretions, cells, and tissues from the genital regions. The supporting layer is used to fix the mentioned noninvasive collection device onto a substrate, such as: sanitary napkin. Furthermore, the noninvasive collection device can be employed in menstrual cycle or in ordinary days. Moreover, the used collection device can be stored in containers for transportation, gene extraction, and subsequent analysis.

Abstract: A short message server linked to a mobile telecommunication network is provided. The mobile telecommunication network provides communication between a first terminal and a second terminal. The short message server includes a processor, a memory, and a response module. The processor receives a short message from the first terminal and selectively relays the short message to the second terminal. The memory stores the short message. The response module selectively proceeds with a response to the short message according to a user configuration.

Abstract: Four methods for transmitting data in base stations of radio access network are provided. Each base station includes a plurality of logic channels, a plurality of transport channels and a media access control layer. The logic channels are configured to receive data and transmit it to the media access control layer. The media access control layer distributes the data by means of the methods of the preset invention and then the data is able to transmit through the transport channels.
