    Abstract: A security apparatus for securing a portable device includes a housing having a first housing portion configured to partially surround a first portion of the portable device, and a second housing portion configured to partially surround a second portion of the portable device. The second housing portion is selectively secured to the first housing portion when the housing is engaged with the portable device. The security apparatus also includes an attachment device extending from the housing. The attachment device is configured to engage a locking head. The security apparatus further includes a modular accessory coupled to the housing. The modular accessory is connected to the housing when the first and second housing portions are secured together to surround the portable device. The modular accessory is only removable from the housing when the first and second housing portions are disconnected from the portable electronic device.

An assigned FIB from the plurality of FIBs is determined. The assigned FIB has been assigned to the application. An appropriate communication interface for communication is determined based on a destination of the communication and the communication interface information of the assigned FIB. The communication is transmitted to the destination using the communication interface.

    Abstract: A serialization service module is provided for configuring an asset management system to provide a secure means of generating, assigning to chips (or other electronic objects or devices), and tracking unique serial numbers. To provide this service, a controller is used to define a product model, then to define one or more serialization schemas to be bound to each product model. Each serialization schema contains a range of serial numbers for a particular product. The serial number schemas are sent over a secure, encrypted connection to appliances at the manufacturer's location. Agents can then request serial number values by product name. The serial numbers are generated by the appliance, metered, and provided to the agents. The serial numbers are then injected sequentially into each die in a chip manufacturing process using the agent.

Stirring, agitation, circulation, sonication or other techniques as are known in the art optionally may be used. The hard disk data storage device, an inkjet printer cartridge head, or the like is generally immersed in the cleaning composition. The time and temperature can be determined based on the particular material being removed from a substrate. Generally, the temperature is in the range of from about ambient or room temperature to about 100° C. and the contact time is from about 1 to about 60 minutes. The preferred temperature and time of contact for this invention is about 25 to about 45° C. for about 2 to about 60 minutes.
