  • Publication number: 20050233624
Abstract: An engagement structure for engaging with a circuit board formed with first and second notches includes an elastic engagement arm and an elastic ejection arm. The engagement arm can be elastically and laterally moved and has a resting portion protruding laterally and an engagement portion for engaging with the first notch. The ejection arm can be elastically and laterally moved and has a touching portion and an inverse hook. The inverse hook is formed with a guiding bevel and a hooking surface. When the ejection arm is pushed laterally, the engagement portion gradually escapes from the second notch, the guiding bevel gradually presses the circuit board through the first notch, and the ejection arm deforms elastically. When the inverse hook completely passes through the first notch and makes the engagement portion escape from the second notch, the ejection arm rebounds such that the hooking surface hooks the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 6932633
Abstract: A lug engagement structure for an electrical connector. The connector includes a plastic base formed with a receiving slot. The structure can engage with a lateral engagement hole of a circuit board inserted into the electrical connector. The structure includes a board removing component pivoted to the base and rotatable within the slot. A push block extending forward and pressing against the circuit board is arranged on a bottom of the component. A pressing portion and an engagement portion extending forward are arranged on a top of the component. The engagement portion engages with the lateral engagement hole of the circuit board, and the pressing portion can be elastically moved up and down and has a resistant plate. The base has an engagement arm elastically engaging with the component. When the pressing portion is pressed down, the resistant plate is caused to push the arm to separate from and disengage with the component.

  • Patent number: 6923668
Abstract: A lateral engagement structure for an electrical connector capable of engaging with a lateral side of a circuit board includes a main body and an elastic arm. The body includes vertical and horizontal plates, wherein a first stopper block is set at a middle of a front end of the vertical plate, and a space is formed below the first stopper block. The arm has a rear end connected to the body, a free front end, and a front section having an actuator and an engagement portion engaged with the board. The arm's front end is bent toward the first stopper block to form a first transversal plate. When the arm is elastically moved toward the vertical plate, the first transversal plate is stopped at the first stopper block, and the engagement portion still engages with the board. When the first transversal plate passes through the space, the engagement portion is caused to separate from the board.
