  • Publication number: 20180182183
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a motor vehicle to increase safety for remote triggering and a motor vehicle having such an apparatus. Data are received from a second device, from which there is a communication link to a first device. The data are associated with user inputs in an application on the second device. The first device receives, for each user input, a portion of the data in a data packet of a data packet structure and prevents remote triggering if the data packet structure does not correspond to a predetermined data packet structure. A difference in the reception sequence of the data packets from the predetermined order is an indicator of malfunctioning in the second device. Preventing remote triggering in the event of a difference reduces the risk of remote triggering by a faulty second device and faulty remote triggering.

  • Patent number: 9906367
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems and methods for providing end-to-end tamper protection in a cloud integration environment. One example method includes receiving, at a receiver in a cloud-based integration scenario, a B2B communication from a sender including data associated with a business transaction, the received communication in a target format. The cloud-based integration system transforms the original communication in a source format into the target format of the receiver. A digitally-signed sender fingerprint of critical fields extracted from the set of data associated with the at least one business transaction in the source format of the original B2B communication are received and verified as signed by the sender. A receiver fingerprint in the target format is generated using the critical fields from the received communication based on a pre-defined algorithm. The sender fingerprint and the generated receiver fingerprint are compared to determine if they are identical.

  • Publication number: 20180006179
Abstract: Methods are provided for fabricating photovoltaic cell contacts, which include: providing a block copolymer layer above an electrical contact layer of the photovoltaic cell, the block copolymer layer being self-assembled by phase segregation to include multiple structures of a first polymer material surrounded, at least in part, by a second polymer material; selectively etching the block copolymer layer to remove the multiple structures, forming holes in the block copolymer layer; and using the holes in the block copolymer layer to facilitate providing electrical contacts between a light absorption layer of the photovoltaic cell and the electrical contact layer. For instance, the holes in the copolymer layer may be used in etching a passivation layer over the electrical contact layer to form nano-sized contact openings in the passivation layer to the contact layer. Once provided, the cell's light absorption material forms contacts extending through the contact openings in the passivation layer.
