  • Patent number: 5812037
Abstract: A stripline filter includes a ceramic substrate having first and second mutually opposite side surfaces and an end surface. At least one stripline resonator is disposed on the first side surface. Capacitive coupling structures are disposed at the end surface for coupling a high-frequency signal in and out. Ground metallizing covers the ceramic substrate except for the first side surface and the end surface. The coupling structures are formed by coupling metal surfaces being disposed on the second side surface and a galvanic separation being disposed on the second side surface and separating the coupling metal surfaces from the ground metallizing; metal surfaces being disposed on the first side surface and being galvanically separated from the stripline resonators; and through holes being formed in the ceramic substrate for galvanically connecting the coupling metal surfaces and the metal surfaces to one another through the through holes.

  • Patent number: 5731753
Abstract: A ceramic resonator for microwave ceramic filters includes a ceramic body having a predetermined form with surfaces and edges. The ceramic body has an internal conductor bore formed therein and is metallized on all of the surfaces except for at least one at least partially unmetallized surface. One of the surfaces has an aperture window formed therein for coupling to other ceramic resonators to form a microwave ceramic filter. At least one of the edges has a chamfer formed thereon.

  • Patent number: 5398399
Abstract: A monolithic microwave ceramic filter has a ceramic body with an outer surface, resonator bores being formed in the ceramic body and defining surfaces within the resonator bores, and coupling voids being formed in the ceramic body between the resonator bores. A process for metallizing the monolithic microwave ceramic filter includes covering at least the coupling voids with ceramic foil, and subsequently galvanically metallizing the ceramic body to produce a metallizing over at least a portion of the outer surface of the ceramic body and the surfaces within the resonator bores.

  • Patent number: 5337939
Abstract: A method for soldering a ceramic body of an electric component, such as a microwave resonator, into a metal housing, includes applying a tin layer over the ceramic body provided with an electrically conductive layer. A high-melting-point lead-tin passivation layer is applied to a surface of the housing to be soldered to the ceramic body.

  • Patent number: 5327110
Abstract: A coaxial resonator includes a ceramic body having outer surfaces including an end surface forming a connecting side. The ceramic body has a through hole extending longitudinally through the ceramic body defining an inner surface in the through hole. The end surface has an indentation formed therein surrounding the through hole. Metallizing is disposed on the inner surface and on all of the outer surfaces including the indentation except for the end surface. The metallized outer surfaces form an external conductor and the metallized inner surface forms an internal conductor. The ceramic body has notches extending inwardly from one of the outer surfaces in the vicinity of the indentation for galvanic separation of the internal conductor metallizing of the through hole and the indentation from the external conductor metallizing. The notches separate out a surface portion from the outer surface forming a connection for the internal conductor through the metallizing of the indentation.
