Publication number: 20110208498Abstract: The invention relates to a real-world simulation device suitable for being installed in a computer designed to support a multitask programming environment (23). The device comprises a simulation manager (30), capable of working in asynchronous chaotic mode by repetitive sequences (31) on distinct simulation elements (40-70). Each simulation element works with at least one space/time datum, termed the structure point. A space/time datum includes a property datum, defining a current state of the structure point, and designates a function, applicable for modifying this current state. Said simulation manager (30) comprises two coupled simulation sections, namely a first and a second section, that are designed to simulate respectively a fluid medium and a solid body in the presence of said fluid medium.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 5, 2008Publication date: August 25, 2011Applicant: CerVALInventors: Christophe Le Gal, Pierre Antoine Beal, Jacques Tisseau, Christian Charles

Patent number: 7956558Abstract: An automatic traction control system is provided for an electric or hybrid-electric vehicle. The automatic traction control system may be used with vehicles using two separately excited motors where the armatures of the motors are connected in series to provide differential control. The automatic traction control system monitors and compares the voltages across the armatures of the two motors. If the voltage differential exceeds a predetermined threshold, it is determined that one of the wheels is spinning and current is diverted from the motor driving the spinning wheel to the motor driving the non-spinning wheel.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2008Date of Patent: June 7, 2011Assignee: PG Trionic, Inc.Inventors: Ian Dirk Cull, Christian Charles Elie Peyla

Patent number: 4185404Abstract: A bucket using a box-like parallel-sided basket open at the front for dredging the sea bottom to collect nodules. The basket has a bottom wall with front and rear cross-bars and a plurality of parallel spaced rods extending longitudinally of the basket between the front and rear cross-bars. A front part of the bottom wall includes a grill formed by a transverse front link supporting one end of a plurality of longitudinal spaced flexible elements which are inclined downwardly towards the front and stretched between the front cross-bar and the transverse front link. Large shoes are positioned on lateral sides of the basket for supporting the bucket on the sea bottom. The grill is situated between the shoes with the transverse front link positioned in such manner that it penetrates the sea bottom. The basket is positioned inside the shoes and extends to the external edges of the shoes. The shoes include brackets for connecting a dredging line to the bucket.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 1977Date of Patent: January 29, 1980Assignee: Centre National Pour l'Exploitation des Oceans (CNEXO)Inventors: Jean-Pierre Hue, Christian Charles, Francois Le Foll

Patent number: 4184583Abstract: A guide is provided for the buckets of an endless dredging line comprising an emptying station incorporated into the guide. A system comprising a pair of trolleys and a pulley system is provided to hold each bucket stationary at the emptying station for dumping. The endless line travels over the pulleys, some of which are mounted on the trolleys. When a bucket approaches the emptying station, the trolleys are actuated to travel in opposite directions so as to allow the endless line to move at its normal speed while holding the bucket at the dumping station stationary.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1977Date of Patent: January 22, 1980Assignee: Centre National pour l'Exploitation des OceansInventors: Michel Gauthier, Francois Le Foll, Christian Charles
