  • Patent number: 8935495
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system for managing storage space in a virtualized computing environment. The method includes a computer determining, by one or more computer processors, that a virtual computer system has reached a threshold level of minimum available storage space. The storage space of the computer system is searched for an inactive snapshot file. When the inactive snapshot file is located, the inactive snapshot file is moved to a secondary storage.

  • Patent number: 8909730
Abstract: Method, system, and computer program product embodiments of controlling filling levels of a plurality of storage pools are provided. A plurality of files is selected from each storage pool of the plurality of storage pools. Each file is then copied to a server and a list is updated. The list comprises an entry for each file of the plurality of files. Each entry comprises a status information. The status information indicates that the corresponding file has been copied to the server. Each entry further comprises an identifier indicating the storage pool on which the corresponding file is stored. If it is detected that the filling level of a storage pool reaches a predefined first threshold value, then a first set of files is determined by use of the list. Each file of the first set of files is replaced by a stub file. The status information is updated.

Abstract: A switch for controlling a control circuit or an operating current of electric-motors in linear gear drives includes: a switch casing, having at least an upper part including keys, and a lower part for forming a receiving space; a circuit board incorporated in the receiving space with micro-switches including a switch casing and a spring-biased push-rod therein; wherein, when the keys are actuated by a user, the push rod actuates the micro-switch to control a control circuit or operating current, and wherein the switch contains at least one locking element, transferable between a locking position, which locks the keys, and a release position, which releases the keys. To prevent damage to a switch from pressure forces during actuation, the locking device is formed such that the pressure applied to the key is transferred onto the switch casing and/or the circuit board plate over as wide an area as possible.

  • Publication number: 20140111379
Abstract: A system for determining position comprises at least one transmitter connected to the object, at least two stationary receivers, and means for determining the phase difference with which the signal of the transmitter arrives at the two receivers. Compared to conventional radio direction finding (decca direction finding), transmission takes place only at the location of the mobile object. This has the effect that only one transmitter having very small dimensions and very low power consumption is required at the location of the mobile object. At least one pair of two stationary receivers is used for operation to determine at least one space coordinate of the object position, the measuring region for the object position being located between these receivers at this space coordinate. The position can be determined with high accuracy if the three space coordinates thereof are determined separately using at least one dedicated receiver pair.
