  • Patent number: 11934245
Abstract: A method is disclosed to estimate energy consumed by a component in a microcontroller during operation including identifying “event” activities, where the energy consumed by the component may be determined by the number of events executed by the component, and “duration” activities, where the energy consumed may be determined by the duration of time required to execute of the activity, and determining the energy consumed by the component based on the number of events/duration of time and an energy coefficient which corresponds to the amount of energy consumed by the component to execute the activity, under given operating conditions. In an embodiment, data transfers at a bus interface may represent event activities. Apparatus to estimate the energy consumed is disclosed including bus monitors to receive signals representing data transfers at a bus interface and provide signals indicating the number of data transfers executed.

  • Patent number: 11706146
Abstract: Programming routers in a network is accomplished using a global network manager and a plurality of local network managers. The global network manager analyzes an entire network and demand matrix in order to provide restrictions and recommendations that are communicated to a set of the local network managers. The local network managers can use the restrictions and recommendations to make local routing decisions defining a percentage of traffic routed to each neighboring node. The local network manager collects traffic metrics, such as local topology and traffic information by measuring the capacity available to reach any neighboring node. The local network manager uses the metrics in combination with the restrictions and recommendations from the global manager to make decisions on how to route network traffic.

  • Patent number: 11677649
Abstract: A backbone service exposes network parameters, such as a minimum available bandwidth, latency, or packet loss, in a tunnel path between any source-destination pairs. The network parameters can be mapped as a function of time so that service teams can schedule when to use the backbone with minimized interruption to other users. The data generated by the backbone service can be transmitted, stored or displayed for informational purposes to provide insights to service teams on how to better leverage the network and create awareness of the current status of the backbone. The backbone service can be extended to provide bandwidth brokerage for controlling traffic distribution in the network. The backbone service can further provide triggered messages that inform service teams about failures in the network that could reduce the available bandwidth. The messages can further target users of affected source-destination pairs.

  • Patent number: 11643282
Abstract: A method and a device for buffering containers grouped in a single row in a filling system are described. For this purpose, the containers are entered into storage on at least one infeed conveyor belt in the infeed direction, moved in a single row onto a transversely adjoining buffer area by rail-guided and individually driven shuttles with row pushers in a buffering direction running transverse to the infeed direction, and are removed from storage on at least one outfeed conveyor belt transversely adjoining in the buffering direction. Due to the fact that the row pushers receive the containers in a single row in a guide channel formed/defined by an anterior row guide leading in the buffering direction and by a trailing posterior row guide, the groups of containers can be moved in the buffering direction and positioned precisely, quickly and secured against falling over without back pressure.
