  • Publication number: 20150252840
Abstract: A bearing lubricated with a medium, particularly a roller bearing or sliding bearing, including two bearing rings (1, 2) and a bearing path (3, 4) arranged on each of these bearing rings (1, 2), and a sacrificial anode (6) that is associated with at least one of the two bearing rings (1). The problem addressed is that of providing a bearing lubricated with a medium and including a sacrificial anode, the operational behavior of the bearing being only slightly influenced by the sacrificial anode. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the sacrificial anode (6) is arranged outside of the bearing interior (7) which is formed between the bearing rings (1, 2); and the sacrificial anode (6) is connected to the bearing interior (7) in an electrically-conductive manner.

  • Publication number: 20150133784
Abstract: For simpler scanning in 3D ultrasound imaging, free hand 3D ultrasound imaging is used. Various registration techniques, such as filtering of position signals based on density of scanning and/or counteracting depth deformation due to pressure, may be used for aligning frames relative to each other in 3D space. To deal with curvature of the skin surface resulting in different frames of data representing the same locations, the frames are grouped by orientation. Data representing the same locations in frames of the same or similar orientation are combined. Frame groups of different orientations but of a same sweep of the transducer along the skin are combined into a volume. Volumes from different sweeps are combined. For combining data representing a same location, the values are weighted based on the likelihoods of ultrasound values representing different locations being accurate or correct.

  • Patent number: 8657986
Abstract: A method for producing an active substance-containing polyurethane plaster for transdermal application is described, said plaster containing at least one active substance at a highly accurate declared dose. In the described method, a solvent-free active substance-containing polyurethane is produced by reactively coating a solvent-free active substance-containing polyurethane material (40), which is mixed in a coating unit (60) immediately before or during the application process, onto an elastic backing foil (20) that has been rendered non-extensible at least in the direction in which the applied polyurethane material is processed by means of a supporting, adhering auxiliary foil (30) which is at least mono-axially non-extensible.

  • Publication number: 20080047632
Abstract: The aim of the method is to achieve a higher penetration depth of the diffusion element coupled with a greater depth of case hardening and a higher case hardening degree, whilst preventing an excessive enrichment of the case, thus obtaining an increased fatigue limit for the component. To achieve this, the full hardening of the component and the plasma-ion hardening of the case of the component are carried out in a common working step. The component is heated to a common hardening and diffusion temperature TH+D lying above the upper transformation temperature AC3, the component being held at the common hardening and diffusion temperature TH+D until the carbon in the component has fully austenitized and dissolved and until the case has been enriched to the desired degree by the diffusion element. The component is then quenched.
