  • Patent number: 7862387
Abstract: The invention relates to a board connector module including a frame accommodating an array of substantially-parallel signal leads (S) and ground leads (G) extending in a longitudinal direction (L). The said frame includes edges extending substantially parallel to said leads and one or more transverse bars extending between said edges. The transverse bars of the frame may resist deflection or buckling of these leads and consequently allow for higher stack heights in mezzanine circuit board assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20090294001
Abstract: Vehicle tires, particularly for commercial vehicles, contain a profiled tread, which is broken down into profiled ribs or block rows by a number of peripheral grooves and is made of a first rubber mixture. A groove base of the peripheral grooves is made of a second rubber mixture, and the modulus of elasticity of the second rubber mixture is less than the modulus of elasticity of the first rubber mixture of the main part of the tread. In particular, the second rubber mixture has a modulus M 100%, which is 5% to 20% less than the modulus M 100% of the first rubber mixture of the main part of the tread. The two rubber mixtures are based on a substantially identical or comparable polymer system.

  • Patent number: 7544095
Abstract: The invention relates to a cable connector with a housing including a base extending along a longitudinal axis of the cable connector. The base includes a cable entry portion for accommodating a ferrule system of a cable and a further portion extending from said cable entry portion along said longitudinal axis. The further portion includes one or more mounting structures. The base also includes a housing part with one or more mounting elements adapted to cooperate with said mounting structures to mount the housing part to the base to complete said housing at said further portion. The mounting structures and mounting elements are structured such that said housing part is forced towards said base when said housing part is moved along said longitudinal axis from a mounting position to a mounted position. Accordingly a tight fitting and easily assembled cable connector is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20090014296
Abstract: Micro-electromechanical (MEMS) contact configuration is disclosed, comprising a static contact with at least one contact surface and a movable contact with at least one corresponding contact surface. Particularly flat contact surfaces and correspondingly low contact resistance can be achieved, if at least one contact surface plane is formed by a crystal plane of the wafer. Furthermore a method for manufacturing such a contact configuration is proposed, wherein the contact surfaces are obtained by wet anisotropic etching of a silicon wafer, if need be preceded by appropriate masking to expose the to be edged regions only, if need be followed by coating with an electrically conductive layer, e.g., a metal layer.

  • Patent number: 7473130
Abstract: The invention relates to a shielding cage extending along a longitudinal axis between a front side and a rear side and including a diecast metal section extending from said front side over a first length along said longitudinal axis. The shielding cage contains a sheet metal section extending from said rear side towards said front side over a second length along said longitudinal axis, said first length being substantially shorter than said second length. The shielding cage combines a considerable degree of freedom in shaping and robustness at the diecast front side with a substantial reduction of the temperature induced stresses as the length of the diecast section is substantially shorter than that of the second shield metal section of the cage.

  • Publication number: 20080318476
Abstract: The invention relates to a cable connector assembly including a cable connector with metallic cover shells and a cable, said cable including a shielding braid in electrical connection with at least one of said metallic cover shells. A portion of said shielding braid is folded back over a support member provided for said cable to clamp said portion of said shielding braid between said support member and at least one of said metallic cover shells in a clamping portion of said cable connector. Accordingly a cable connector assembly is obtained with improved mechanical and electromagnetic shielding characteristics. The support member is not crimped on the cable jacket and may include multiple parts. The invention further relates to a cable connector and a method for assembling a cable to a cable connector.

  • Publication number: 20070295229
Abstract: Process for creating embossed substrate materials such as metal foils, plastic films, papers and layered materials or laminates in a printing machine, as desired simultaneous to additional printing using ink. For the embossing of the substrate material a gravure roll as printing plate is provided in a printing station along with an impression roll. The printing elements on the printing plate are transferred to the substrate material as an embossed image. To that end, in the printing station, the substrate material is passed between the gravure roll and the impression roll and thereby embossed. The gravure roll acting as printing plate exhibits the e.g. engraved, depressed or and/or raised printing elements. The substrate material exhibits the embossed pattern and if required mono-colored or multi-colored printing. The embossing may reinforce the colored motif and the embossing may also exhibit functional properties e.g. that of an aid to tearing or dot-like print.
