  • Patent number: 11443290
Abstract: A system and method for performing a transaction at a point of sale (“POS”) device includes a user device providing data indicative of a financial transaction. The data includes parameters that define the financial transaction, for example merchant name or type, transaction amount, etc. The financial institution creates an active authentication key for use in the financial transaction. Upon receiving a transaction request from the point of sale device, the financial institution can analyze the active authentication key and the parameters to determine if the transaction request should be approved.

  • Publication number: 20220212679
Abstract: A system is provided generating a context-dependent experience for a vehicle driver, e.g., to relax or enhance the driver's mental state. A system controller is configured to receive driving context data regarding a driving situation from various driving context data sources. The driving context data may include vehicle operation data, e.g., generated by vehicle-based sensors, and environmental data regarding an environment external to the vehicle, e.g., received wirelessly from a remote server. The system controller may identify content triggering events based on (a) the received driver context data and (b) a set of content triggering rules. For each content triggering event, the system controller may select one or more human-perceivable contents elements (e.g., audio clips, seat massage settings, or air conditioner settings), and control one or more content output devices (e.g., speakers, seat massage system, or vehicle HVAC system) to output the selected content element(s) to the driver.

  • Patent number: 11360155
Abstract: A computing system, method, and apparatus for determining a state of health indication for a battery are provided. A first supervised deep neural network (“DNN”) is trained using received characteristics for the battery as input and received process parameters as outputs. An unsupervised AI estimator is trained using one or more clustering methods based on extracted features from the first supervised DNN, where the received characteristics are input to the unsupervised AI estimator. A second supervised DNN is trained using identified clusters from the unsupervised AI estimator. The identified clusters are validated with state of health indications. User battery data is inputted to the second supervised DNN to determine the state of health for the battery.

  • Publication number: 20220101728
Abstract: Technologies and techniques for merging/resolving MAP data and signal phase and timing (SPaT) messages for traffic light data prediction a vehicle in an intelligent transportation system. SPaT data and/or MAP data may be received in a vehicle from a direct source and a network source, and processed to merge data from the two different platforms. The merging of the data allows a vehicle to generate inferences relating to traffic light data received on direct, low-latency, connections, while taking advantage of the more comprehensive data provided from the network source.

  • Patent number: 11159388
Abstract: The present application relates to a method for detecting and determining a failure probability (pA) of a radio network. The method is characterized in that devices of the radio network cyclically transmit operating parameters to a central computer wherein each transmitted operating parameter comprises an operating value of the respective device and a detection time point (t) of the operating value. All transmitted parameters and values can be viewed at any time by accessing the central computer. The central computer cyclically stores the operating values of all operating parameters detected within a predefined time interval (T) as the respective operating constellation and checks the radio network for a failure (A). The central computer cyclically creates a model based on the stored operating constellations and failures (A), which assigns a failure probability (pA) to each possible operating constellation.

  • Patent number: 10975795
Abstract: A method for model-based control and regulation of an internal combustion engine. An emission class for operating the engine is read from a first library by an optimizer; a maximum mechanical component load is read from a second library by the optimizer using the engine type; and the emission class and the component load are set as mandatory for a combustion model and a gas path model. Injection system target values for actuating injection system actuators are calculated using the combustion model based on a target torque. Gas path target values for actuating gas path actuators are calculated using the gas path model based on the target torque. A quality measurement is calculated by the optimizer based on the injection system and gas path target values. The quality measurement is minimized by the optimizer by changing the injection system and gas path target values within a prediction horizon.

  • Publication number: 20210049774
Abstract: A system, components, and methodologies are provided for image data processing and subsequent use to detect and/or identify objects and object movement in such image data to enable assistance, automation, control and/or documentation regarding transportation vehicle movement. An affine contour filter provides the ability to extract precise sub-pixel roots of contours that represent boundaries of blobs in an image that undergoes small affine changes such as translation, rotation and scale. Thereby lateral contour tracking may be performed wherein movement of an object may be tracked within the field of view of a camera by aligning the contours associated with the object in space-time. As a result, the size and shape of the object to be tracked need not be specified ahead of time.
