  • Publication number: 20230370977
Abstract: A method for regulating transmission of a plurality of industrial devices in a first section of an industrial facility is disclosed. The method includes measuring radio signal strength at a first location in the first section and comparing the measured radio signal strength against a predefined threshold associated with the first location in the first section. The radio signal strength is associated with one or more signals transmitted by at least one industrial device of a first wireless network in the first section. The comparison of the measured radio strength against the predefined threshold is performed for transmitting a message to the industrial device. Based on the message, the at least one industrial device is configured to adjust at least one transmission parameter of the industrial device.

  • Patent number: 10830861
Abstract: A method for direction finding is described wherein incoming signals are scanned and analyzed. The bearing value and its quality of the incoming signals are determined by using a direction finding method. A covariance matrix is generated from the incoming signals by using a multiple-wave detector unit. The dimension of the covariance matrix is reduced in order to obtain a reduced covariance matrix. The eigenvalues of the reduced covariance matrix are determined. Then, it is determined whether more than one signal, a single signal or no signal is detected by using the eigenvalues and the quality determined by using the direction finding method. Further, a direction finder is described.

  • Patent number: 10778138
Abstract: A drilling device having a motor for driving a tool received in a tool holder, wherein the motor is coupled to a power source providing electrical operating power, and having a first switch for switching on the motor. A temperature switching element is provided, which is reversibly transferred from a first switching position to a second switching position, which shuts off the motor when the limit temperature of the switched-on motor is exceeded. For cooling the motor, the first switch and the temperature switching element are connected such that in the second switching position of the temperature switching element, it is possible to switch on the motor by pressing and holding the first switch. Moreover, the invention relates to a method for operating a drilling device.

  • Patent number: 9832098
Abstract: A method for connecting, by a central control unit (CCU), a booting switch to a network. The network includes switches controlled by the CCU using control data packets that are transmitted via communications paths in the network. User packets are transmitted through the network using the same communications paths. A switch uses forwarding rules stored in a pipeline to forward packets in the network. A local port in each switch provides access to the pipeline. The paths in the network for the control data packets are established by storing forwarding rules configured by the CCU in the pipelines of the switches. At least one switch contains a connecting port via which the booting switch is connected to the network. The forwarding rules in the booting switch are stored by the CCU using a temporary path, which contains the existing path and a connecting path.
