  • Patent number: 11887704
Abstract: A computer-implemented method provides a requested medical data record to a receiving entity. The method includes receiving a set of medical data records and receiving or initiating a joint data index and, for each medical data record of the set, applying a plurality of hash functions to a patient identifier corresponding to the medical data record to determine a hash vector, the patient identifier corresponding to the medical data record identifying the patient being subject of the medical data record, and updating the joint data index based on the hash vector. Furthermore, it includes providing the joint data index to the receiving entity and receiving a request for a record, corresponding to a request patient identifier and being based on the joint data index, from the receiving entity. The method includes providing the requested medical data record to the receiving entity via a secure communication channel.

  • Patent number: 10006927
Abstract: A method of operating a laboratory automation system is presented. The laboratory automation system comprises a plurality of laboratory stations and a plurality of sample container carriers. The sample container carriers carry one or more sample containers. The sample containers comprise samples to be analyzed by the laboratory stations. The system also comprises a transport plane. The transport plane supports the sample container carriers. The system also comprises a drive. The drive moves the sample container carriers on the transport plane. The method comprises, during an initialization of the laboratory automation system, logically reserving at least one buffer area on the transport plane and, after the initialization of the laboratory automation system, buffering in the at least one buffer area sample container carriers carrying sample containers comprising samples waiting for a result of an analysis. Depending on the result of the analysis, the samples are further processed.

  • Patent number: 9989547
Abstract: A laboratory sample distribution system is presented. The system comprises sample container carriers carrying a sample container and comprising a magnetically active device. The system also comprises a transport plane supporting the sample container carriers and comprises drive modules comprising first line shaped conductors extending in a first direction and arranged parallel to each other and second line shaped conductors extending in a second direction and arranged parallel to each other. The system comprises a driver electrically connected to each of the first and second conductors of the drive modules. The driver selectively applies a drive current and/or voltage to the first and second conductors such that a conductor current results in the conductors driven by the drive current and/or voltage. The conductor current selectively causes a drive force to the sample container carriers such that the sample container carriers move along individual transport paths on the transport plane.

  • Patent number: 9924888
Abstract: A system and method for treating Parkinson's disease by delivery of an agent within the brain. At least one image of a target region is acquired, and at least one magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging (MR-DTI) scan of the target region is acquired. A diffusion tensor is calculated from the at least one MR-DTI scan, and at least one of an agent distribution and an agent concentration from the images and the calculated diffusion tensor is calculated. Using at least one of the calculated diffusion tensor, the images, the calculated agent distribution, and the calculated agent concentration, the placement of a delivery instrument is planned to deliver the agent to the target region to achieve a desired agent concentration and/or agent distribution within the target region. Delivery of the agent can be coordinated with an applied electrical stimulation.
