  • Patent number: 10749843
Abstract: In an example, there is disclosed a monolithic reputation update on a data exchange layer (DXL). According to one embodiment, designating a set of objects as good or bad can be achieved via a single administrative action by leveraging persistent client initiated connections to the DXL framework. This may enable communication of the reputation updates across a heterogeneous infrastructure, including systems potentially unreachable by the server, such as those behind a firewall or NAT.

  • Patent number: 10737325
Abstract: A manufacturing method which manufactures articles which have hollow areas inside them which are subject to their own internal vacuum. A 3-D printer can be located inside a vacuum chamber and the article(s) can be 3-D printed, thereby the hollow area inside each such article is subject to its own vacuum. When removed from the vacuum chamber, the article's hollow area remains subject to its own internal vacuum.

  • Patent number: 10667124
Abstract: A system, a computer program product and a method associate service licenses with a wireless device. A device identifier (device ID) which identifies the wireless device and a Subscriber Identity Module identifier (SIM ID) identifying a SIM card currently inserted in the wireless device are received. If the SIM ID is not currently associated with the device ID, a listing of service licenses associated with the SIM ID is aggregated with a listing of service licenses associated with the device ID. The wireless device is authorized to use service licenses listed in the aggregate listing of service licenses. A virtual SIM identifier may be associated with the SIM identifier and at least one additional service license. The at least one additional service license associated with the virtual SIM identifier may be stored in a database as a subscriber service profile.

  • Publication number: 20200154192
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for an open ear audio device outputting audio using an external audio speaker, bone conduction speaker, or both an external audio speaker and bone conduction speaker. In an aspect, sound is output using either the audio speaker or the bone conduction speaker based on the type of sound. Audio the user desires to keep private are configured to be output using the bone conduction speaker. In an aspect, the audio device simultaneously outputs a first sound using the audio speaker and a second sound using the bone conduction speaker. The user receives both streams of audio and selects which sound to focus on. In an aspect, the audio device determines how to output audio based on the SPL of the user's environment.

  • Patent number: 10647321
Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing includes a single external power access for the shift actuator. A controller interprets a shaft displacement angle, determines if the transmission is in an imminent zero or zero torque region, and performs a transmission operation in response to the transmission in the imminent zero or zero torque region.

  • Publication number: 20200134788
Abstract: An image capture system comprises a camera configured to capture an image of a whiteboard, or similar, viewed from an acute angle. A linear polarizer has a surface substantially perpendicular to a plane of the board and an axis of polarization substantially perpendicular to the plane of the board or within 30° of the perpendicular to the plane of the board. The camera is configured to capture the image of the board through the polarizer. A normal to the polarizer is directed in a different direction to a direction defined by an optic axis of the camera.

  • Patent number: 10621154
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for identifying patterns of a set of software applications instances from their documents. The computer-implemented method begins with constructing different attribute vector types using a knowledge ontology. The knowledge ontology captures semantics based on keywords associated with resource attributes derived from one or more documents related to at least a portion of these software application instances. A knowledge base is built from the attribute vector types and the documents of these application instances. These are merged into the knowledge base with the knowledge base previously built from previous software application instances. Analytics are performed on the knowledge base to identify at least one of common patterns of deployments, configurations, or other attribute vector types, or a combination thereof.
