    Abstract: Systems, devices, kits, and methods are provided herein in the form of example embodiments that relate to calibration of medical devices. The medical devices can be sensors adapted to sense a biochemical attribute. The embodiments can be used to determine calibration information specific to an individual medical device. The embodiments can determine the calibration information by reference to one or more parameters obtained during manufacturing of the medical device. The embodiments can also determine the calibration information by reference to in vitro testing of the medical devices. The embodiments also apply to systems incorporating those medical devices in their use in the field. Also described are embodiments of modifications to surfaces of sensor substrates, such as through applied radiation and/or the creation of a well, to aid in the placement and/or sizing of a sensor element on the substrate.

The distal-end assembly further includes an elastic element, coupled to self-elongate and thus elongate the telescopic assembly. The distal-end assembly also includes an inflatable balloon, which is coupled to the telescopic assembly and is configured to collapse by the telescopic assembly elongating, and to expand by the telescopic assembly compressing. The puller-wire runs through the shaft and is connected to a distal end of the telescopic assembly, and is configured, when pulled, to compress the telescopic assembly.

The system optionally includes an electronic base removably attached to a bottom surface of the infant bottle and operable to deliver power to electronics in the infant bottle. The system optionally includes a thermal cover that fits over the infant bottle and releasably couples to the electronic base to enclose the infant bottle, the thermal cover insulating the infant bottle and inhibiting heat loss of the liquid in the chamber. The electronic base delivers power to the heating elements and sensors in the infant bottle only when the infant bottle is on the electronic base. The infant bottle, thermal cover and electronic base define a single travel pack unit when coupled together.
