  • Publication number: 20170361807
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a police vehicle monitor. An example disclosed police vehicle includes first beacons positioned on a chassis of the police vehicle, second beacons position on a lightbar of the police vehicle, and a police assistance unit. The example police assistance unit is to track a distance of wearable nodes associated with a police officer. Additionally, the example police assistance unit is to, in response to the distance satisfying a first threshold, lock doors and roll up windows of the police vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170341571
Abstract: A vehicle illumination apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an emitting layer comprising a plurality of printed light sources and configured to conform to an outer surface of a panel. The apparatus further comprises a reflective layer disposed on an interior surface of the emitting layer and a surface layer configured to seal an outer surface of the apparatus. A controller is configured to selectively activate the light sources to reveal a symbol defined by the emitting layer.

  • Publication number: 20170291534
Abstract: A light strip for a vehicle panel is provided herein. The light strip includes a light-producing assembly. A photoluminescent structure is disposed on the light-producing assembly and is configured to luminesce in response to excitation by a light source of the light-producing assembly. An adhesive layer having one or more retroreflective beads embedded therein is disposed on the photoluminescent structure. An overmold material is disposed over a portion of the retroreflective beads.

  • Publication number: 20170232886
Abstract: A warning indicator system for a vehicle side-view mirror includes light sources disposed to emit light in patterns and/or colors visible through a partially light-reflective surface. One or more processors are operatively configured to actuate the light sources in predetermined sequences defining a stealth mode, a pursuit mode, and a traffic advisor mode. The partially light-reflective surface may be a light transmitting substrate having a coating of a reflective substance provided in a thickness allowing at least a partial transmission of light therethrough. The light sources may be printed light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Disposing the light sources in desired patterns to emit desired colors on actuation in a predetermined sequence allows configuring the side mirrors to emit visible light signals indicative of the stealth mode, a pursuit mode, and a traffic advisor mode.

  • Patent number: 9288132
Abstract: A method for executing an application, comprising: receiving data associated with the application; storing the data in a data buffer in a data store; selecting one or more module instances to define a function of the application, each module instance for independently performing a respective aspect of the function, each module instance independently accessing the data buffer directly from the data store to process data contained therein to perform its aspect of the function; and, using a processor, initiating operation of the one or more module instances in accordance with a schedule defined by one or more routing rules, the one or more routing rules for routing a pointer to the data, as stored in the data buffer, between the one or more module instances to thereby perform the function without passing the data itself between the one or more module instances.

  • Publication number: 20140223006
Abstract: A method for performing a monitoring function for an application that passes messages between two or more endpoints, comprising: receiving a message including transaction data, the transaction data including data relating to transport of the transaction data; storing the message and transaction data in respective message data and transaction data buffers in a data store; storing status and semantic information associated with the message in the data store; receiving a signal selecting one or more module instances to define the monitoring function, each module instance for independently performing a respective aspect of the monitoring function, each module instance having related module instance data stored in a respective module instance data buffer in the data store, each module instance having a respective service access point for accessing the data store, each service access point having related service access point data stored in a respective service access point data buffer in the data store, each module
