  • Patent number: 7530638
Abstract: A dual action seat release mechanism for a seat on a vehicle includes a seat assembly having a vertically oriented seat back portion pivotally connected to a horizontally oriented seat cushion portion. A lever is pivotally attached to the seat assembly, and includes an elongated handle extending from a disc-shaped portion, and a center of the disc-shaped portion is pivotally attached to the seat assembly. A cable attachment means is disposed on the disc-shaped portion of the lever, and is positioned radially outboard from the center of the disc-shaped portion. A cable having a first end and a second end is provided and the first end of the cable is attached to the cable attachment means on the lever. A cable support bracket for fixedly supporting the cable is fixedly attached to the seat assembly. A cable routing bracket for routing the cable is fixedly attached to the seat assembly, and includes an elongated channel for receiving the cable.

  • Publication number: 20080271461
Abstract: A method of starting a turbine engine at a first engine speed value which is lower than a second engine speed value designed for a normal engine starting operation, comprises varying a fuel flow into a combustor of the engine to start the engine in repeatedly alternating speed acceleration and deceleration cycles in order to create an engine speed augmentation in each of the speed acceleration and deceleration cycles, thereby achieving the second engine speed value while preventing the engine from being overheated, and then beginning the normal engine starting operation

  • Patent number: 7441822
Abstract: A seat assembly movable in both longitudinal and transverse directions in an automotive vehicle. The seat assembly includes a seat cushion and an adjuster mechanism. The seat cushion has an upper surface for supporting a seated occupant above a floor of an automotive vehicle and an opposite bottom surface. The adjuster mechanism is coupled to the bottom surface of the seat cushion. The adjuster mechanism includes a set of first wheels that allows movement of the seat assembly in a longitudinal direction along tracks on the floor of the vehicle. The adjuster mechanism further includes a set of second wheels that are arranged generally orthogonal to the first wheels to allow movement of the seat assembly in a transverse direction across the tracks and the floor of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20060248591
Abstract: An information security auditing and incident investigation method can include applying a correlation template to query different audit targets in an enterprise system to provide a complete result set for the query across different audit targets, receiving audit data provided in response to the query and rendering the audit data to produce an audit report. The applying step can include distributing one or more distributed audit and response tools to each of the targets in the enterprise and communicating with the targets in the enterprise to acquire audit data from each of the targets. The receiving step can include organizing the audit data in a hierarchy, and recursively walking the hierarchy as a directed, cyclic graph noting memberships and paths. Finally, the rendering step can include generating a graphical visualization interface, disposing a real-time object browser within the interface, and further disposing a differential report in the interface.

  • Publication number: 20060156404
Abstract: An intrusion detection system (IDS). An IDS which has been configured in accordance with the present invention can include a traffic sniffer for extracting network packets from passing network traffic; a traffic parser configured to extract individual data from defined packet fields of the network packets; and, a traffic logger configured to store individual packet fields of the network packets in a database. A vector builder can be configured to generate multi-dimensional vectors from selected features of the stored packet fields. Notably, at least one self-organizing clustering module can be configured to process the multi-dimensional vectors to produce a self-organized map of clusters. Subsequently, an anomaly detector can detect anomalous correlations between individual ones of the clusters in the self-organized map based upon at least one configurable correlation metric. Finally, a classifier can classify detected anomalous correlations as one of an alarm and normal behavior.

  • Patent number: 6490173
Abstract: An apparatus and method for shielding electrical components mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB) from electromagnetic and radio frequency interference by reducing the dissipation of heat away from solder joints. In an embodiment of the invention a radio frequency (RF) shield for a printed circuit board comprises a shield for RF shielding a portion of the PCB having electronic components mounted thereon. The shield has a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion has a reduced cross sectional area, for reducing heat conduction between the first and the second portion when the first portion of the shield is inserted into a first plurality of holes in the PCB, for soldering the first portion of the shield to a copper foil of the PCB.
