The method also includes receiving light scattered in the area of interest due to the direct laser beams and the reflected laser beams. The method also includes determining signal characteristics of the detected scattered light received from the area of interest caused by both the direct laser beams and the reflected laser beams. The method also includes computing a depth map corresponding to the area of interest based on the signal characteristics.

Such modification causes the relevant information to be appended to the interfacing signal and then transferred to the recipient electronic device. This can be accomplished by superimposing another signal that is representative of the relevant information onto the interfacing signal. Thus, the relevant information can be transferred from the source electronic device to the recipient electronic device by superimposing a signal onto the interfacing signal that is output by the source electronic device.

    Abstract: A thermal monitoring system (10) is for monitoring a touch interaction between two persons based on heat tracking. A thermal stimulus generator (12) is used to generate coded or patterned thermal stimuli (14). The thermal stimulus generator is arranged, to generate the thermal stimuli so that when the user touches a subject with one of a defined set of touching areas of the hand, one of the thermal stimuli interposes the touch interaction and applies the thermal stimulus to the skin of the user. This leaves an impression of the thermal pattern or code (16) embodied by the thermal stimulus on the skin of the subject. Different touching locations of the hand are uniquely associated with thermal stimuli with different thermal patterns or codes, allowing for retrospective tracking of touch events based on thermal monitoring of the touch interaction.

Position data relating to a position of the user's hand relative to the object is obtained and interaction data indicating how the user's hand is interacting with the object is also obtained. At least some of the interaction data is obtained from an electromyography device coupled to the user. The position data is used to map the interaction data to the LiDAR data to enable the interaction data to be used to classify the object.

Movements of the individuals are tracked so that allergen types and levels to which the individuals have been exposed can be obtained. Using knowledge of user sensitivity information to different allergens, it is determined if the first individual has been exposed to allergen types and levels which pose a risk to the second individual by GPS transfer from the first individual to the second individual. Thus, action can be taken when there is a determined risk of allergen transfer between individuals.
