  • Publication number: 20220156353
Abstract: Introduced here are approaches to authenticating unknown persons based on variations in the properties of blood vessels over time. At a high level, these approaches rely on monitoring changes in a property of a blood vessel that occur over time. Examples of properties include the position, size, volume, and pressure of the blood vessel, as well as the velocity and acceleration of blood flowing through the blood vessel.

  • Publication number: 20220096321
Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided a cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR, device (1) for enhancing the delivery of CPR to a patient. The device (1) comprises: a patient side (3) for engagement with the chest of the patient; and a user side (2) for engagement with the hands of a user delivering CPR to the patient. One or more of the patient side (3) and the user side (2) is at least partially formed of a non-Newtonian fluid, the viscosity of which is configured to vary in response to the application of energy so as to regulate a force distribution profile of the device (1) from a force applied to the device (1) by the user and transferred through the device (1) to the patient. According to other aspects, there is provided a control method for a cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR, device and a computer program which, when executed on a computing device, carries out a control method for a cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR, device.

  • Publication number: 20220053098
Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a system (100) for handling variations in a mark (110) printed by a group (105) of industrial printers (101). The system (100) obtains images of the printed mark (110) printed by each of the printers (101) in the group (105). The system (100) creates a composite image from the obtained images. The printed marks (110) appear as a repeating pattern in the composite image. The system (100) compares the printed marks (110) in the composite image to each other or to another mark. The system (100) detects variations with a first resolution in the printed marks (110) in the composite image as a result of the comparison. The system (100) creates an augmented image in which the detected variations are augmented to a second resolution. The first resolution is lower than the second resolution.

  • Publication number: 20210406330
Abstract: The management server obtains address information indicating a user's address and evaluation information indicating evaluation of a food or a restaurant performed by the user. A food search screen is provided with, as one of search filters, a search filter for filtering foods or restaurants on the basis of results of evaluation of foods or restaurants performed by residents of a certain area. If the user's address indicated by the address information is included in the certain area, the evaluation information indicating the evaluation of the food or the restaurant performed by the user is included in the results of the evaluation of the foods or the restaurants performed by the residents of the certain area.

  • Publication number: 20210362363
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a razor cartridge which comprises a frame and one or more cutting members. The frame has a leading longitudinal member and a trailing longitudinal member. The one or more cutting members are arranged between the leading longitudinal member and the trailing longitudinal member. At least one magnetic element is configured and arranged to apply a magnetic field in a magnetic shaving aid comprising a magnetic surfactant and being applied to a skin surface so as to elicit an induced change in the magnetic shaving aid between a pre-shave state and a during-shave state.

  • Patent number: 11134888
Abstract: A method is disclosed for controlling one or more appliances in a user environment, the one or more appliances in operation capable of causing environmental stimuli disruptive to a user's sleep. The method comprises receiving from one or more sensors data indicative of a sleep state of the user; analysing the received data to determine one or more control actions for controlling the one or more appliances to reduce sleep disruption due to the environmental stimuli caused by the appliances; and controlling the one or more appliances in dependence on the determined control actions. The method may involve determining, based on sleep state data for a first sleep period, an appliance control schedule for a second, later, time period.

  • Publication number: 20210211856
Abstract: A system and method are provided for warning of an exposure of a second individual to an allergen by transfer from a first individual. Movements of the individuals are tracked so that allergen types and levels to which the individuals have been exposed can be obtained. Using knowledge of user sensitivity information to different allergens, it is determined if the first individual has been exposed to allergen types and levels which pose a risk to the second individual by GPS transfer from the first individual to the second individual. Thus, action can be taken when there is a determined risk of allergen transfer between individuals.

  • Publication number: 20200137608
Abstract: There are described methods and systems for identifying an operative state of a device using sensor signatures and for identifying such sensor signatures. The methods may comprise determining, from a received plurality of sensor signals and received device operation information, a sensor signature comprising values of a combination of different measurable characteristics that are indicative of an operative state of a device; and associating the determined sensor signature with attributes of a training space. Such sensor signatures may be used to identify the operative state of a device or appliance in a monitoring space.
