Abstract: Centrifugal compressors can incorporate a side stream flow of intermediate pressure vapor between stages of that compressor. The side stream flow can be controlled by a side stream injection port controlled by a throttle ring disposed between stages of the compressor. The throttle ring can allow or obstruct flow through the side stream injection port. The throttle ring can extend and retract in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of flow from the first stage impeller to the second stage impeller. A method of operating a centrifugal compressor can include actuating a throttle ring by rotating a drive ring to adjust a flow of interstage fluid into the second stage impeller.

Abstract: A process, device and system facilitate mounting of apparatus on a tower. The process includes positioning a tunnel void clip on a strap, positioning the strap on the tower, fastening the strap to the tower, resting a first bracket on the clip, and fastening the first bracket, at a mounting position, onto the tower. The tunnel void clip includes a top portion, inner and outer prongs, a top connecting portion couples the top portion to the outer prong, and to the tops of the inner and outer prongs. A bottom connecting portion couples bottoms of the inner and outer prongs. The top and bottom connecting portions separate the inner and outer prongs to form a void therebetween, and the top and bottom connection portions, the inner and outer prongs and the void collectively form a tunnel void within the tunnel void clip through which the strap may be inserted.

Abstract: An interstage throttle for a centrifugal compressor includes a flow guide plate, a throttle ring, a drive ring, and linkage assemblies. The flow guide plate includes guide vanes that form channels that direct working fluid in between stages of the compressor. The linkage assemblies connect the drive ring to the throttle ring such that rotation of the drive ring moves the throttle ring in an axial direction. Teeth of the throttle ring partially block the channels when the throttle ring is in an extended position. A method of operating a centrifugal compressor includes directing the working fluid discharged from the first stage to a second stage via channels in a interstage throttle. A centrifugal compressor includes a first stage with a first impeller, a second stage with a second impeller, and an interstage throttle fluidly connecting the first stage to the second stage.

Abstract: Methods and systems for fictitious account generation on detection of account takeover conditions are described. A login attempt may be detected and determined to indicate fraud, such as when the login attempt is accompanied by many failed login attempts or is from an untrusted or known malicious endpoint. A fictitious account may be generated, which may include falsified account data and may limit account functionality to prevent unauthorized and fraudulent use of the account. The computing device that performs the login attempt may be routed and permitted to log in to the fictitious account, where the service provider or another computing entity may then monitor activity and usage of the fictitious account by the potentially malicious party. The fictitious account may be maintained so that other actors using the account may access the account and their activity also monitored.

Abstract: A computational method for characterizing a biopolymer property of a biopolymer. The computational method includes receiving a dimensional representation of a molecule concentration over time within a fluid flow of a fluid medium flowing through a fluid channel including the biopolymer; predicting a fluid flow velocity and/or a fluid flow pressure of the fluid medium in response to the dimensional representation of the molecule concentration over time within the fluid medium using a machine learning model; and characterizing the biopolymer property of the biopolymer in response to the fluid flow velocity and/or the fluid flow pressure.

Abstract: A lock adapter includes a first adapter arm and a second adapter arm. The first adapter arm has a first end which mating with a staple of a latch assembly, which, with a corresponding hasp, controls access to a structure. The first adapter arm also has second end configured for mating with the shackle of the lock. The second adapter arm also has a first end and a second end. The first end of the second adapter arm is configured for mating with the first end of the first adapter arm after the first end of the first adapter arm mates with the latch. The second end of the second adapter arm is configured for mating with the shackle of the lock. Upon the lock adapter mating with the staple and with the shackle of the lock, access to the structure via the latch assembly is inhibited.

Abstract: A vehicle configured to operate in a normal steering mode and a differential steering mode is disclosed. The vehicle includes at least three wheels with the first and second wheels disposed on opposite sides of the vehicle. First and second motors, independently controllable by a motor control unit, drive the corresponding wheels. A steering shaft connects a steering mechanism for changing the angle of travel of at least one wheel to a steering wheel, when the vehicle operates in the normal steering mode. When the vehicle operates in a differential steering mode, a steering lock mechanism locks the at least one wheel in a fixed angle of travel, and a sensor senses the direction the steering wheel is turned. The motor controller causes the motor to rotate the first and second wheels at different rotational speeds to turn the vehicle the direction the steering wheel is turned.

Abstract: In order to facilitate the entity resolution and entity activity tracking and indexing, systems and methods include receiving first source records from a first database and second source records from a record database. A candidate set of second source records is determined by a heuristic search in the set of second source records. A candidate pair feature vector associated with each candidate pair of first and second source records is generated. An entity matching machine learning model predicts matching first source records for each candidate second source record based on the respective candidate pair feature vector. An aggregate quantity associated with the matching first source records is aggregated from a quantity associated with each first source record, and a quantity index for each candidate second source record is determined based the aggregate quantities. Each quantity index is displayed to a user.

Abstract: A rechargeable battery system is disclosed. The battery system includes a collection of at least four flat cells, each with a positive terminal extending from one side of each cell and a negative terminal extending from an opposite side of each cell, and wherein the cells are arranged in an alternating stack with a first stack side and a second stack side, such that each cell, has its positive or negative terminal mechanically and electrically connected at a junction to the positive or negative terminal of an adjacent cell. A first board located on the first stack side, including a plurality of first connectors extending from the first board for mechanically and electrically connecting to the junctions on the first stack side. A battery management processor is included that is electrically connected to each first connector by a plurality of electrical conductors.

The one or more variator ports are fluidly connected in a one-to-one correspondence to the one or more transmission ports without the use of one or more external hoses to fluidly connect the one or more variator ports to the one or more transmission ports.

Abstract: Methods and systems for using cloned accounts to track attacks on user accounts are described. A user login attempt is detected for a user account from a client computing device. A determination is made that the user is not a legitimate user. The user is routed to a cloned user account. An analysis of the interaction between the user and the cloned user account is performed.

Abstract: A server system for electronic games includes a memory and a processor configured to execute instructions stored in the memory. When the instructions are executed, the instructions cause the processor to receive from a communication device, a plurality of first signals generated in response to the communication device entering one or more predefined zones associated with the electronic games, and generate, based on the plurality of first signals, a heat map that defines one or more cells based upon a magnitude of a data element of the first signals.
