  • Publication number: 20250021761
Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for generating a response to a query input into a generative artificial intelligence model. An example method generally includes generating, based on an input query and a first generative artificial intelligence model, a sequence of tokens corresponding to a candidate response to the input query. The sequence of tokens and the input query are output to a second generative artificial intelligence model for verification. One or more first guidance signals for the generated sequence of tokens are received from the second generative artificial intelligence model. The candidate response to the input query is revised based on the generated sequence of tokens and the one or more first guidance signals, and the revised candidate response is output as a response to the received input query.

  • Publication number: 20250007527
Abstract: A flux-pump digital-to-analog converter (DAC) includes a ring of Josephson transmission line (JTL) stages. The ring includes multiple injector Josephson junctions (JJs). Each of the multiple injector JJs can be individually activated to inject magnetic flux into the ring in a given AC clock cycle, or controllably deactivated so as not to inject flux during the given AC clock cycle. The flux-pump DAC further includes a load inductor coupled to ring JJs of the ring. The load inductor is configured to store the magnetic flux injected into the ring. Because the flux-pump DAC includes multiple injector JJs arranged around the JTL ring, it can ramp up current loaded into the load inductor faster than a single-injector flux-pump DAC, and with precise, variable controllability of ramp speed so as to provide enhanced adiabaticity.

  • Patent number: 12174881
Abstract: Described are systems and methods to determine hair patterns presented in content items. The determined hair patterns may be associated with the content items to facilitate indexing, filtering, etc. of the content items based on the determined hair patterns. In exemplary implementations, a corpus of content items may be associated with an embedding vector that includes a binary representation of the content item. The embedding vectors associated with each content item can be provided as inputs to a trained machine learning model, which can process the embedding vectors to determine one or more hair patterns presented in each content item while eliminating the need for performing image pre-processing prior to determination of the hair pattern(s) presented in the content item.

  • Publication number: 20240401576
Abstract: A Hall effect thruster system includes a thruster body and a diffuser configured to apply a torque to the thruster body during operation. The diffuser applies the torque by ejecting the propellant in a non-axial direction, such as a direction tangent to helical or curvilinear channels formed within a body of the diffuser. The applied torque can be used to counteract a swirl torque that is induced on the thruster body by the ionizing Hall current flowing in an annular channel of the thruster body. This effective counter-torque is useful in deep space applications outside the Earth's magnetic field.

  • Publication number: 20240391157
Abstract: An apparatus and its method of use in folding a ultrasound transducer assembly, is disclosed. The apparatus includes a base which define two pivot channels therethrough, of which each support an axle. A folding platform has a first portion pivotally disposed about one axle and the second portion pivotally disposed about the other axle. The folding platform is moveable between an open position and a closed position. In the open position an interior faces of the first portion and second portion are in substantially parallel alignment with a top surface of the base. In the closed position the interior faces of each portion are substantially perpendicular to the top surface of the base and interior faces define a folding channel. A ultrasound transducer assembly positioned on the folding platform during actuation from the open position to the closed position is folded into a substantially taco-like shape within the folding channel.

  • Publication number: 20240389970
Abstract: A system and method are presented for treating targeted tissue using cryoablation. A linear endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) device is positioned adjacent the targeted tissue and is used to guide a percutaneously inserted cryoprobe into the targeted tissue. The EBUS device is partially rotated in order to create multiple image slices that are combined together. To overcome the acoustic shadow created by the ice ball, a 3D model is created of the ice ball based on the locations identified on visible portion of the ice ball's peripheral surface. These locations are mirrored across an axis defined for the cryoprobe to define an approximate location for the hidden, non-visible periphery. This model is then displayed along with the location of the targeted tissue and an indication of the killing zone of the ice ball defined by a selected isotherm.

  • Publication number: 20240373867
Abstract: In examples, a material, such as raw or processed grain, may be dispensed (e.g., by a vibratory feeder) and charge associated therewith may be neutralized (e.g., by an ion generator). The material may then be suspended within a fluid flow. The fluid flow may pass through a treatment chamber, where material suspended therein is exposed to one or more light sources. The light sources may emit UVB, UVC, and/or VUV light, which may have germicidal and/or photocatalytic effects. In some examples, the flow is carried through the treatment chamber by a quartz tube, which may be doped or the interior of which may be coated by titanium dioxide. As an example, when the titanium dioxide is exposed to the UVB light, an oxidation reaction may occur, which may have germicidal, cleaning, and/or odor-reducing effect,. among other examples. The treated material may ultimately settle out of the flow and be collected.

  • Patent number: 12135880
Abstract: Techniques are provided for dynamically implementing quality of service policies for a distributed storage system based upon resources saturation. A quality of service policy is defined for throttling I/O operations received by a node of the distributed storage system based upon whether resources of the node have become saturated. The quality of service policy is dynamically implemented based upon ever changing resource utilization and saturation. Dynamically implementing the quality of service policy improves the ability to efficiently utilize resources of the node compared to conventional static polices that cannot adequately react to such changing considerations and resource utilization/saturation. With conventional static policies, an administrator manually defines a minimum amount of guaranteed resources and/or a maximum resource usage cap that could be set to values that result in inefficient operation and resource starvation.

  • Publication number: 20240364604
Abstract: Techniques are provided for dynamically implementing quality of service policies using a configurable quality of service provider pipeline. A quality of service policy is defined for throttling I/O operations received by a node based upon whether resources of the node have become over utilized. The quality of service policy is used to dynamically construct a quality of service provider pipeline with select quality of service providers that improve the ability to efficiently utilize resources compared to conventional static polices that cannot adequately react to changing considerations and resource utilization/saturation. With conventional static policies, an administrator manually defines a minimum amount of guaranteed resources and/or a maximum resource usage cap that could be set to values that result in inefficient operation and resource starvation. Dynamically constructing and utilizing the quality of service provider pipeline results in more efficient operation and mitigates resource starvation.
