TECHNICAL FIELDThe present disclosure relates in general to hands-free holders of mobile phones and other portable electronic devices. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a foldable and modular phone stand designed for secure integration with helmets. Additionally, the present disclosure pertains to securely attaching and positioning a phone in front of the user's face for hands-free applications, such as augmented reality (AR), navigation, or other viewing purposes, while maintaining adjustability, portability, and compatibility with various helmet designs.
BACKGROUNDMobile phones and portable electronic devices have become essential tools in various fields, including construction, logistics, navigation, and augmented reality applications. While these devices provide significant utility, users in hands-on environments often face challenges when trying to use them efficiently and safely without compromising their tasks or mobility. This is particularly evident in industries where workers wear helmets, such as construction, mining, and field operations, and require hands-free access to their devices for operational purposes.
Existing solutions for hands-free phone usage, such as clip-on holders or wearable mounts, often lack secure integration with helmets and are unable to provide ergonomic positioning of the device directly in front of the user's face. Furthermore, many available holders rely on complex designs involving additional optical components like lenses or are limited to specific device sizes, reducing their versatility and usability. These drawbacks lead to issues such as device instability, poor adjustability, and limited portability, which hinder effective hands-free operation.
Additionally, current designs often fail to address the need for a modular and foldable structure, which is critical for portability and easy storage when not in use. For professionals who frequently move between sites, bulky and non-collapsible devices become impractical. The lack of a reliable attachment system tailored for helmets further exacerbates the problem, as generic solutions do not provide the required stability and safety for professional environments.
In the light of the aforementioned discussion, there is a need for a robust, foldable, and modular phone stand with a secure attachment mechanism for helmets.
