  • Publication number: 20240270898
Abstract: The present disclosure provides copolymers prepared by polymerizing a first monomer comprising at least one C?C and/or at least one C?C; and a second monomer of Formula (B): wherein at least one first monomer and/or at least one second monomer comprises a latent-fluoride moiety (e.g., pentafluorophenyl). Upon contacting the copolymers with a nucleophile (e.g., a thiol) and/or a base, the latent-fluoride moiety may release fluoride ions, which may in turn degrade the copolymers by cleaving the O—Si bonds. The copolymers may be useful for drug delivery, or as degradable (e.g., biodegradable) polymers, adhesives, coatings, or structural materials.
