Abstract: A system and method for managing print services between multifunction peripherals and a print server includes a connector server. The connector server subscribes to event notifications from each multifunction peripheral through two or more network adapters. Events are relayed from the connector server to the print server, irrespective as to which network adapter receives them. The connector server also relays web content between the multifunction peripheral and the print server.

Abstract: A system and method for employee retention includes determining an employee's happiness level by analysis of their attire from a captured image. Image capture and employee identification is commenced when an employee uses their employer ID to enter a work premises. Captured images are analyzed for attire content. Attire content is categorized and analyzed relative to other fashion images to gage an employee's likes or dislikes, along with their happiness level. Remedial suggestions are generated when a happiness level falls below a set threshold level. Remedial suggestions may include gifts personal to an employee as determined from their attire. Captured images and web data are subject to artificial intelligence and machine learning to continuously improve analysis and recommendations.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and systems for use in the production of adeno-associated virus (AAV) particles, including recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) particles. In certain embodiments, the production process and system use Spodoptera frugiperda insect cells (such as Sf9 or Sf21) as viral production cells. In certain embodiments, the production process and system use Baculoviral Expression Vectors (BEVs) in the production of AAV particles. In certain embodiments, the production process and system allow for the controlled expression of AAV capsid proteins, such as VP1, VP2 and VP3.

Abstract: A hybrid coupler for dividing an input electrical signal to produce first and second output electrical signals which are substantially out of phase, the hybrid coupler including an input port for receiving the input electrical signal, and an input line for coupling the input electrical signal to a slotline. The hybrid coupler further includes an output line for coupling the first and second output electrical signals to a first output port and a second output port, respectively. The output line has a junction with the slotline. The hybrid coupler further includes a co-planar waveguide electrically connected to said output line and having a first end and an opposing second end, and defining, at the second end, a sum port configured to divert common mode signals received at said first and second output ports to said second end. Abstract: A method for evaluating gastric and upper small intestine motility and emptying in a gastrointestinal tract of a subject using magnetic resonance imaging includes administering a contrast agent to the subject; acquiring, using an MRI system, a set of MR data from the subject using a three-dimensional volumetric pulse sequence. The volumetric pulse sequence has a temporal resolution and a spatial resolution configured to facilitate measurement of volumetric and motility parameters. The method further includes reconstructing a set of images using the set of MR data, segmenting each image in the set of images to isolate a region of interest in the gastrointestinal tract of the subject, determining at least one volumetric and motility parameter based on the set of segmented images, and generating a report indicating the at least one volumetric or motility parameter.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a customized shopping assistant map on a smartphone or tablet is generated in accordance with a retail consumer's identity determined from facial recognition. Information from content and timing of a customer's prior product purchases is analyzed via application of machine learning, and the consumer's shopping patterns are established. When the consumer enters a retail location, their face is recognized and frequently purchased products and their location at the current store is generated on their device, along with information including relevant coupons or on-sale items.

Abstract: A method of performing multidimensional magnetic resonance imaging on a subject comprises collecting imaging data for a region of interest of the subject, the imaging data related to one or more spatially-varying parameters of the subject within the region of interest; collecting auxiliary data for the region of interest in the subject, the auxiliary data related to one or more time-varying parameters of the subject within the region of interest; linking the imaging data and the auxiliary data; and constructing an image tensor with one or more temporal dimensions based on at least a portion of the linked imaging data and at least a portion of the linked auxiliary data.

Abstract: A system and method for selective group printing at discounted pricing facilitates a user to select one or more public electronic documents for printing. The user creates a print group for their job and publishes an electronic list of print group jobs, including job properties, print timing and print location. Users who wish to have the same documents printed can elect to join the group to allow for discounted pricing. When it is time to print jobs associated with the group, group members are notified and can proceed to the designated printer to release their jobs.

Abstract: The disclosed technology described pertain to collection swabs that are designed to capture and retain specimen, tissue, or fluids from a patient. The collection swabs are generally inserted into a desired location, such as a nasal cavity. During the process of insertion, a user maneuvers the collection swab and in the process dislodges and collects various specimen, tissue, or fluids from the patient. The collection swab utilizes specially designed distal or tip portions and/or sleeves or cages in order to capture and retain the specimen, tissue, and fluids. The various designs associated with the distal or tip portion and the sleeve or cages affect not only how much specimen, tissue, or fluids can be collected but also how much of the specimen, tissue, or fluids can be retained after the collection swab is removed from the patient.

Abstract: A system and method for consumer food management commences with a consumer identifying themselves to a point-of-sale terminal during checkout for a food purchase. Product information is captured by the point-of-sale terminal by a scanner, digital camera or digital scale. Product life information, when present on a product, is read via optical character recognition. Additional product information is used from barcodes, product lookup codes, product appearance and product packaging. Product information is used, along with current date information, to determine product life dates. These dates are sent to consumer's smartphones or computers as reminders or calendar events which are triggered based on determined product life dates. The user selects one or more charge based document processing operations to be performed. An account balance associated with the user is checked against one or more requested operations. User device operation permissions are assigned for each operation for which the user has sufficient credit in their account. Each document processing operation for which a permission has been given is completed, and the information is used to recalculate the user's account balance.

A user interface configuration module is created for each binary file. The user interface configuration modules are described with associated metadata. All user interface configuration modules are packaged and deployed to an application deployment tool. The application deployment tool identifies networked multifunction peripherals and their individual characteristics to deploy a compatible user interface configuration module for installation.

Abstract: A system and method for placing sales associates on a retail sales premises floor includes retrieving purchasing data including information on previous customer location patterns and associated sales information. This data is analyzed relative to current inventory data including information on currently displayed products, product locations and product promotions, along with current customer clustering as determined by heat signatures received from overhead digital cameras. A processor determines, from the purchasing data, the current inventory data and customer locations, a recommended placement of sales associates on the retail floor.

A VDDF may be extracted from charts displayed in markup language documents. A VDDF may be generated from different data sources including big data analysis systems. A VDDF workspace allows interaction with multiple VDDF objects extracted from multiple data sources and stored locally within the storage of the device. The VDDF workspace allows the user to interact with the VDDF objects, for example, by inspecting the metadata, modifying the data, adding new columns, changing the visualization, joining data from multiple charts, and sharing the VDDF objects with other documents. Abstract: A catheter configured to dynamically compensate for the impact of internal and external forces that act upon the catheter during use is disclosed. The catheter may include sensors configured to measure received forces on control cables that extend within the catheter. A controller, coupled to the sensors, may record received force measurements associated with a working position of a distal end of the catheter. The controller may monitor subsequently received forces to identify force variances that may deflect the distal end of the catheter from its working position and may apply a driving force to one or more of the control cables to minimize the force variances. Monitoring received forces during use and applying compensating drive forces may reduce deflection of the distal end of the catheter, increasing the accuracy and precision of an annuloplasty procedure while minimizing potential damage to cardiac tissue.
