  • Publication number: 20240116725
Abstract: When a media tray is inserted into a printer with the leading edge of the printed page going into the printer first, multiple sheets of media may slide off the media stack (“shingle”) into the paper path if the primary input tray is inserted too aggressively. This may result in double feeds and/or paper jams for the user. Disclosed is a mechanism that is transparent to the user for slow speed tray insertions but provides force feedback to the user indicating tray insertion at too high of speed. If the user inserts the tray below the speed threshold, then the result is a normal tray insertion. If the user inserts the paper tray above the speed threshold, then there is a feedback to the user to slow the tray insertion to an acceptable velocity.

  • Patent number: 11941957
Abstract: A security device for a retail store display and method of use. The security device includes a securing element moveable, relative the retail store surface, from a first position to a second position to allow customer access to a product. An electromagnetic or electromagnetic lock is configured to lock the securing element in the first position, to further limit the customer access afforded by the securing element. The lockdown provided by the secondary lockdown mechanism can be used for additional protection during times of need, such as after hours or if employees are not on the sales floor.

  • Patent number: 11475731
Abstract: An interactive electronic reel gaming machine that includes a special region is disclosed. A game controller is configured to provide a reel with a particular arrangement of display positions, where each display position includes a separately controlled individual reel. Following receipt of a user input, one or more of the individual reels are spun and stopped, displaying symbols (e.g., corresponding to playing cards, pictures, credit values, etc.) in one or more of the display positions. The game controller is configured to apply a multiplier to symbols displayed in the special region. Pay awards are made when clusters of two or more like symbols are located in adjacent display positions. The pay award is increased if one or more symbols of the cluster is located in a display position corresponding to the special region. The symbol display positions are configured in a geometric shape.

  • Patent number: 11281850
Abstract: A system and method are provided that present users with a platform to complete and self-file customs entry forms for goods transported across an international border, wherein the system and method enable the user to resolve a flagged exception from a customs agency through an automated computerized response or by using customs-broker resources via the digital network. The system further enables a user to validate submitted and cleared custom entry forms by setting parameters to dictate a level of auditing conducted by customs-broker resources. As such, users can readily complete and file the necessary customs entry forms while maintaining customs-broker resources on the back-end for selective auditing and resolving issues with a customs agency, thereby lowering associated overhead costs through a reduced dependency on customs-broker resources.

  • Patent number: 11249134
Abstract: Physical or off-chip interfaces may be selectively bypassed in a boundary scan chain. A bypass control signal may be produced that indicates whether to bypass a selected one of the interfaces. In response to a first state of a bypass control signal, a multiplexer may couple the scan chain output of an interface boundary scan cell to the scan chain input of a successor boundary scan cell of the interface boundary scan cell. In response to a second state of the bypass control signal, the multiplexer may couple the scan chain output of a predecessor boundary scan cell of the interface boundary scan cell to the scan chain input of the successor boundary scan cell, bypassing the interface boundary scan cell.

  • Patent number: 11221774
Abstract: Systems and method are directed to Universal Flash Storage (UFS) memory system configured to support deep power-down modes wherein the UFS memory system is not required to be responsive to commands received from a host device coupled to the UFS memory system. Correspondingly, in the deep power-down modes, a link or interface between the UFS memory system and the host device may also be powered down. The UFS memory system may enter the deep power-down modes based on a command received from the host device or a hardware reset assertion, and exit the deep power-down modes based on a hardware reset de-assertion or power cycling. While in deep power-down modes, the power consumption of the UFS memory device is substantially lower than the power consumption of the UFS memory device in conventional power modes.

  • Publication number: 20210149476
Abstract: Various embodiments include a shared power rail monitoring circuit included in integrated circuits configured to manage worst case power on a shared power rail within the integrated circuit. Various embodiments include circuit components configured to determine allocated currents for each processing block or subsystem core on the shared power rail based on operating parameters of each processing block or subsystem core, and set a mitigation level for one or more processing blocks or subsystem cores on the shared power rail based at least in part on the determined allocated currents for each processing block or subsystem core on the shared power rail. The operating parameters may be voltage or voltage mode, temperature and operating frequency of each processing block or subsystem core.
