  • Publication number: 20230280877
Abstract: A computer device receives, via a graphical user interface, a first user input specifying a first data field of the dataset. The first data field has a first data type. In response to receiving the first user input, the device selects a first visualization type of a data visualization, for visualizing a portion of the dataset based on the first data type, and displays the data visualization. The device receives, via the graphical user interface, a second user input specifying a second data field of the dataset. The second data field is distinct from the first data field and has a second data type. In response to receiving the second user input, the device selects a second visualization type based at least in part on the first data type and the second data type, and displays an updated data visualization, having the second visualization type, in the graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20230281757
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for enhancing videos using a machine learning model that is a temporally-consistent transformer model. The machine learning model processes blocks of frames of a video in which the temporally first input video frame of each block of frames is a temporally second to last output video frame of a previous block of frames. After the machine learning model is trained, blocks of video frames, or features extracted from the video frames, can be warped using an optical flow technique and transformed using a wavelet transform technique. The transformed video frames are concatenated along a channel dimension and input into the machine learning model that generates corresponding processed video frames.

  • Publication number: 20230274138
Abstract: A system includes a computing platform having a hardware processor and a memory storing a software code and a neural network (NN) having multiple layers including a last activation layer and a loss layer. The hardware processor executes the software code to identify different combinations of layers for testing the NN, each combination including candidate function(s) for the last activation layer and candidate function(s) for the loss layer. For each different combination, the software code configures the NN based on the combination, inputs, into the configured NN, a training dataset including multiple data objects, receives, from the configured NN, a classification of the data objects, and generates a performance assessment for the combination based on the classification. The software code determines a preferred combination of layers for the NN including selected candidate functions for the last activation layer and the loss layer, based on a comparison of the performance assessments.

  • Patent number: 11740064
Abstract: An inductive position detection configuration for stylus position measurement in a scanning probe comprises a stylus position detection portion arranged along a central axis in the probe. The stylus position detection portion includes a field generating coil configuration and top and bottom axial and rotary sensing coil configurations. The field generating coil configuration generates a changing magnetic flux, and coil signals indicate conductive disruptor element and/or stylus positions. A field generating coil coupling and crosstalk reducing configuration couples signal processing and control circuitry to the field generating coil configuration to provide a coil drive signal, and is configured to reduce crosstalk that would otherwise occur if the field generating coil configuration were directly connected to the signal processing and control circuitry without the field generating coil coupling and crosstalk reducing configuration.

  • Publication number: 20230264897
Abstract: A controller is provided to control movement of a plurality of transporting devices. In particular, the controller provides improved robot shunting. More specifically, the controller delays the planning of a shunt path for an idle robot until closer to the time the idle robot needs to move out of the way. Advantageously this avoids the computing burden of planning shunts in advance that are never performed because the idle robot is subsequently tasked before the shunt were due to start. In particular, shunt paths can be planned very close to the time at which they need to be executed thereby providing a more efficient solution to robot shunting because very close to the execution time there is a very small probability that the plan will change in a way that the shunt needs to be recalculated.

  • Publication number: 20230262878
Abstract: A wireless earphone incorporates a wire antenna having a form factor driven innovative antenna shape that minimizes antenna detuning caused by user interactions with the earphones. The wire shape, diameter, and distance of the wire antenna from the printed circuit board (PCB) are selected for an acceptable tradeoff between antenna bandwidth and radiated efficiency. By inserting an end through a through-hole of the PCB, the wire antenna is electrically connected to a multi-layer PCB without traditional approaches such as springs, pogo pins, and the like. An antenna holder further secures the antenna within a thin profile housing for precise placement and manufacturing consistency. A PCB-specific RF VIA geometry is also utilized for partial impedance matching of a transmission line to the wire antenna. In addition, a more constant impedance is maintained along the transmission line connecting a radio device with the wire antenna.

  • Publication number: 20230244604
Abstract: The technology disclosed herein involves tracking contention and using the tracked contention to reduce latency of exclusive memory operations. The technology enables a processor to track which locations in main memory are contentious and to modify the order exclusive memory operations are processed based on the contentiousness. A thread can include multiple exclusive operations for the same memory location (e.g., exclusive load and a complementary exclusive store). The multiple exclusive memory operations can be added to a queue and include one or more intervening operations between them in the queue. The processor may process the operations in the queue based on the order they were added and may use the tracked contention to perform out-of-order processing for some of the exclusive operations. For example, the processor can execute the exclusive load operation and because the corresponding location is contentious can process the complementary exclusive store operation before the intervening operations.

  • Publication number: 20230244603
Abstract: The technology disclosed herein involves tracking contention and using the tracked contention to manage processor cache. The technology can be implemented in a processor’s cache controlling logic and can enable the processor to track which locations in main memory are contentious. The technology can use the contentiousness of locations to determine where to store the data in cache and how to allocate and evict cache lines in the cache. In one example, the technology can store the data in a shared cache when the location is contentious and can bypass the shared cache and store the data in the private cache when the location is uncontentious. This may be advantageous because storing the data in shared cache can reduce or avoid having multiple copies in different private caches and can reduce the cache coherency overhead involved to keep copies in the private caches in sync.

  • Publication number: 20230229645
Abstract: A transaction request compliant with a first version of a journal schema of a multi-data-store storage system is received at a journal manager. The journal schema indicates attributes of data objects which may be materialized at various data stores of the system. The journal manager stores an entry in the system's journal if the transaction meets acceptance criteria. Writes indicated in the entry are materialized at the data stores after verifying that the entry is compliant with the journal schema. After verifying that member data stores have approved a proposed change to the journal schema, another entry indicating a different version of the journal schema is added to the journal. Client-side components of the system obtain the current version of the journal schema to prepare the transaction requests.
