Patent number: 10993778Abstract: A medical device support system including a central shaft, an extension arm, a brake clamp assembly, and a brake actuator. The extension arm has a support for a medical device and a hub at its proximal end mounted to the central shaft for pivotable movement about the central shaft. The brake clamp assembly is secured in the hub for rotation therewith and includes first and second clamp portions. The brake actuator includes a cap, a plunger coupled to the cap for reciprocable axial movement relative to the cap, and a spring disposed between the cap and the plunger and configured to exert a biasing force against movement of the cap axially toward the plunger. The cap is adjustably mounted to the hub and coupled to the plunger to selectively urge the first and second clamp portions either toward or away from the central shaft to respectively increase or decrease a frictional braking force to the central shaft.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2019Date of Patent: May 4, 2021Assignee: American Sterilizer CompanyInventors: Lance Clark Bellows, Christopher Roy Mohr

Patent number: 10934691Abstract: This specification describes an intake filter for use, for example, in a system that collects greywater from baths or showers for re-use in toilet flushing. The intake filter provides essentially dead-end filtration. An influent by-pass may be provided, but the filter is cleaned as required to reduce use of the by-pass. Cleaning is performed when permeability of the filter declines. An upstream sensor may be used to detect the permeability of the filter. In one cleaning method, flowing water, optionally with air, is used to backwash the filter. The impulse of the flowing water also moves one or more valves to direct backwash water to a sanitary drain. For example, pumped effluent may impinge against a first flap to close an effluent drain, the first flap being mechanically linked to open a flap covering the sanitary drain.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2017Date of Patent: March 2, 2021Assignee: GREYTER WATER SYSTEMS INC.Inventors: Christopher Roy Thompson, Michael Nelson Pereira Caldeira

Publication number: 20210041519Abstract: A method and a system automatically perform an image reconstruction of a biological object. The method includes acquiring at different time points t_i signal data for imaging the biological object and clustering a set of data in connection with the acquired signal data. The clustering includes constructing a matrix C, wherein an element Ci,j of the matrix C is the value n_j of one of the data of the dataset acquired at the time point t_i, and then performing a similarity clustering based on the matrix C. At least one of the clusters is selected and determining for each of the time points t_i that are part of the cluster all acquired signal data that have been acquired within a predefined temporal threshold with respect to the considered time point t_i. The image reconstruction of the biological object is performed with the previously determined acquired signal data.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 10, 2020Publication date: February 11, 2021Inventors: DAVIDE PICCINI, JOHN HEERFORDT, CHRISTOPHER ROY, MATTHIAS STUBER
