  • Patent number: 11269589
Abstract: A pair of sets of audio blocks is determined from a multi-channel audio signal. The pair comprises a first set for a first time block over audio channels and a second set for a second time block over the audio channels. Audio features including inter-channel audio features are generated from the pair. The audio features are graphically presented with user interface components on a display page. A specific perceptible audio characteristic is visually conveyed to the user using the user interface components dynamically updated with sets of audio features computed from pairs of sets of audio blocks of the multi-channel audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20220062919
Abstract: Described herein are methods of reducing the viscosity of products of sulfide ore froth flotation. A froth overflow, or an underflow of sulfide ore flotation is treated using a nonionic compound to reduce the viscosity of a froth or an underflow. The lowered viscosity imparts several benefits in sulfide ore processing of copper and molybdenum metal products, including increased rate of sedimentation to yield a concentrated product.

  • Publication number: 20220057528
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for enabling seamlessly tracking a location of a water vessel by supplementing satellite data with mobile data location based on proximity of a water vessel to shore. The system receives a Global Positioning System (GPS) location of the water vessel, the GPS location of the water vessel based on using the satellite data of the water vessel. The system determines that the GPS location is within a threshold distance of a boundary. Responsive to determining that the GPS location is within the threshold distance of the boundary, the system initiates monitoring for a mobile signal emanating from a trajectory path of the water vessel. The system detects, during the monitoring, the mobile signal, the tracking the location of the water vessel based on mobile data of the mobile signal. The system provides the tracked location to a monitoring device.

  • Publication number: 20220061018
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for enabling accurate estimation of a location of a water vessel. In an embodiment, a rescue system transmits a Short Message Service (SMS) message to a user device on the water vessel, the SMS message comprising a selectable option that, when selected, causes a location of the user device to be shared. Based on a selection by a user of the user device of the selectable option, the system receives a plurality of location coordinates from the user device at a plurality of respective times, each respective location coordinate describing a respective location of the user device at its respective time. The system computes an estimated location of the water vessel based on the plurality of location coordinates and an elapsed time between a current time and a time at which a last-received location coordinate was received. The system transmits the estimated location to a responder device.

  • Publication number: 20220021120
Abstract: Described herein are systems for radio-frequency (RF) localization. The systems developed by the inventors are designed to improve the accuracy of RF localization to millimeter and sub-millimeter ranges, and additionally, are designed to do so while also limiting manufacturing costs. The RF localization systems developed by the inventors leverage the relatively low costs associated with the manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). Manufacturing RF localization devices using PCBAs poses a number of challenges, including large minimum feature size and the presence of surface waves. Described herein are techniques for addressing challenges arising in connection with RF localization devices fabricated using PCBAs. One technique involves the use of slot-fed antennas, which makes the device efficient notwithstanding the large minimum feature size. Another technique involves the use of frequency selective surfaces for suppressing surface waves.

  • Publication number: 20220011783
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for a vehicle control and interface system configured to facilitate control of different vehicles through universal mechanisms. The vehicle control and interface system can be integrated with different types of vehicles (e.g., rotorcraft, fixed-wing aircraft, motor vehicles, watercraft, etc.) in order to facilitate operation of the different vehicles using universal vehicle control inputs. In particular, the vehicle control and interface system converts universal vehicle control inputs describing a requested trajectory of a vehicle received from one or more universal vehicle control interfaces into commands for specific actuators of the vehicle configured to adjust a current trajectory of the vehicle to the requested trajectory. In order to convert the universal vehicle control inputs to actuator commands the vehicle control and interface system processes the universal vehicle control inputs using a universal vehicle control router.
