  • Patent number: 12376787
Abstract: A system for monitoring the ossification of an internally fixated fracture in a bone of a subject includes an implantable fixation device and an external wireless reader operative to transmit relative load data experienced by a bone plate across a fracture to a data server where trends in the change in added bone-support provided by the bone plate may be visualized. The implantable fixation device includes a primary load sensor and a reference load sensor, where a load value from the reference load sensor may be used to normalize the load value from the primary load sensor. The external wireless reader is in wireless communication with the implantable fixation device and is operative to receive a signal indicative of the load from each load sensor and to energize each load sensor via inductive charging.

  • Patent number: 11617588
Abstract: A device for collecting a bone graft material comprises a canister extending defining a filter-receiving space therein, the canister including a connection for connecting to a vacuum source, a proximal end of the canister including a first locking feature and a filter element sized and shaped to be received within the filter-receiving space of the canister, the filter element including a channel extending therethrough, the channel defined via a mesh material and a proximal end of the filter element including a second locking feature releasably engageable with the first locking feature of the canister via a rotation of the filter element about a longitudinal axis thereof relative to the canister in combination with an extractor sized and shaped to be received within the channel of the filter element, the extractor defining a graft material receiving space therein and being releasably engageable with the extractor.

  • Patent number: 10751103
Abstract: A first tool is configured to cut a polymer implant, and includes a handle, a cutting portion, and a bending portion. A second tool is configured to cut a polymer implant, and includes a handle, a first cutting portion, and a second cutting portion. The cutting portions contain a cutter that is preferably a blade. In the second tool, the blades are preferably angled with respect to each other between about 45°. The tools can be used to reshape an implant that is to be used to replace a portion of a skull.
